No prizes I'm afraid, just a bit of fun - based on the fact we have nothing to give!

Design an A5 sized leaflet to advertise OOF.

Please don't post your designs here - I will provide an email address for you to email to.

Closing date will be around 5th June 2007, judges decision final. Judges will be the 4 members of admin team here.

As part of submitting your design means you are giving us the unlimited right to use the design in any way we want, and the copyright becomes ours.

Please email your designs to leaflets@ our domain name
(sorry, cannot provide full email address but our domain is omegaowners.com)

On your first day in your first proper job :y

Has your mum bought you a new uniform and new satchal, and packed your packed lunch?  Don't let the other kids beat you up and steal your dinner money ;D

General Discussion Area / Project TB2 - Update 13
« on: 23 June 2007, 15:17:41 »
Since last proper update, it has had its new box fitted (thanks Laidback66, JamesV6CDX, Tunnie, and Ronnie McB for various help :y).

I have not yet had the head off (working up the courage!).

However, this is where the plot thickens.......

I have just taking it out, and ragged the chuff off it for 20 odd miles. Villages aside, my foot was hard on the floor, either on accelerator or brake.

Yet I couldn't get the temp to go above 97 on gauge  :-/

Before, if I had done that, it would be way up the gauge after 2 or 3 miles.  OK, the temperature is down a couple of degrees (currently 18C), and the A/C isn't working - could the condensor be creating too much heat?  :-/

Bizarre...

General Discussion Area / Real GM Tech2 for sale
« on: 28 June 2007, 19:31:08 »
OK, its been hinted at before ;)

My Tech2 is for sale.  It includes the Tech2 unit itself, a 32Mb flash card, and the lead to connect to car (16 pin ODBII type connector), all as shown in the picture.

This is all you require to diagnose all post 97 Vauxhalls except CAN cars (Vectra-C/Signum and Astra-H are the only CAN ones I know).

If you want update software, you will also need a PC and a licenced and registered version of Opel TIS 2000, and a serial to RJ45 cable to suit your PC.

Price is going to be 4 digits - this is a hugely expensive bit of kit.  If you are not sure what a real Tech2 is, you probably won't be interested in it ;)

PM me for a more exact price if you are genuinely interested in buying.

Went to the local test day here at Silverstone of Thurs.  Here are a few piccies, most crappy, as I only took point and shoot. Hopefully, one of my mates will provide better ones soon.

General Discussion Area / Ideas needed
« on: 28 June 2007, 11:22:02 »
Not sure I've dropped enough hints but its my birthday in just over a week ;)

Seriously, Mrs TheBoy is after ideas for prezzies :D, but I can't think what I need :(

I did mention a new server, as the one here is creaking a bit, but she wasn't keen on the price!

So what can I get her to get me, sensible ideas only ;) - categories include tools and boys toys, unless any other inspired ideas spring to mind?

If I don't come up with anything, it'll be socks again....

« on: 10 October 2006, 19:22:11 »
Anyone needing any Tech2 work down at Santa Pod, I will be taking it with me.

I do have to make a charge to recoup some of the huge costs of the device, but I'm much cheaper than dealers ;), and special rates at the event  :y

Code read for a single onboard system (and reset if possible) - £5
Code read for all onboard systems (and reset if poss) - £10
Cruise enable - £35
Transponder/remote fob programming - £15 (bring your V5 along, carpass also essential)
MID reprogram - £15

Non forum members there will be charged more  ::)

General Discussion Area / Anyone notice a little glitch?
« on: 25 June 2007, 20:34:05 »
Or did I get away with it ::)

Just had a decent crack of thunder, goodbye gigabit switch  >:(

Forum server recabled to 100Mbit switch for now to get it up, but on wrong network segment really.

Expect further outages once I put it back how it should be - need to find out if its the switch or the PSU thats failed this time (was the PSU a few months ago when we had similar fault).

Gearbox changed, unfortunately with AR25, but nice and smooth.  Unfortunately, only finished just over an hour ago, so bit or an ordeal, just lots of silly little issues.

Knackered and aching, so time for food and beer with my fellow helpers - JamesV6CDX and Tunnie, so big thanks to them for giving up their day, and big thanks to Laidback66 for his help today, and hope he got home in time.

CraigR turned up and took some pictures which I'm sure he'll post tomorrow.

Anyway, my beer is calling, and I look forward to the entertainment of JamesV6CDX and Tunnie getting drunk (alas, its a school night, so I mustn't get too hammered or be too late to bed)
