2002 3.2 Elite - Snowflakes and CID Nav
« on: 17 May 2010, 09:10:06 »

Here we have my pride and joy, my 2002 "02" 3.2 elite with colour sat nav. She has been my car for 18 months, but in my family for 3 years.
She has 11 mont MOT and 2 months Tax.
The car has been up for sale last year, but I withdrew it due to keeping it as a weekend toy, but now its time for someone else to use it. The mileage is 96,500, however it is currently in the south of France with the missus, so this will climb accordingly. She is back on the 25th, so viewings from the 26th. But the car will not be available to collect without the cambelt, tensioners and rocker change planned to be complete on the 31st May be Elite Pete.

BODYWORK:

Finished in two-coat pearlescent Krypton Green, This has been maintain and restored to the highest level. The car has received some paint, to make it into the condition it is currently in, but it has all been super ficial. Please note I have before, during and after photos of all paintwork.
It has been completed to an exceptional standard and has been maintained using the highest of quality shampoos, Wax and polish. The bodywork has to be described as near immaculate. I used to own a gold cup winning Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 6 years ago, so I know how to prepare, how to use and what equipment to maintain car bodywork.

MECHANICAL:

3.2i 24v Ecotec with 217BHP with 4 speed automatic gearbox with snow and sport button, the engine has been mapped by Motorsport Development to run as efficient as possible whilst delivering a clear power curve (always used MSD when having any work on my RS Cosworth) The car has full service history, all stamped up by Vauxhall dealers and Jaguar specialist:

SERVICE INTERVALS

The cam belt and tensioners have just been replaced, including an oil change and oil breather cleaned by “Elite Pete”.
The car has had a full service less than 1000 mile prior to this using genuine GM parts.
In the last 12 months it has had the following service parts replaced, full exhaust from cat, both front track rod ends and arms, new discs and pads all round, fully digitally tracked to provide a smooth effortless ride.
Full service history (8stamps), will all manuals and leather wallet

WHEELS AND TYRES:

Front left: 8j x 19” et 43 Snowflake Shod with brand new 225/35/19 AVON ZVV3 performance tyre.

Front right: 8j x 19” et 43 Snowflake Shod with brand new 225/35/19 AVON ZVV3 performance tyre.

Rear Left:  8j x 19” et 43 Snowflake Shod with 255/35/19 Dunlop sport maxx with approx 4/5mil tread

Rear Right:  8j x 19” et 43 Snowflake Shod with 255/35/19 Dunlop sport maxx with approx 4/5mil tread

Spare:  8j x 19” et 43 Snowflakes Shod with 235/40/19 Pirelli P ZERO approx 2/3 mil tread.

A very rare set of 5 x 19” genuine Vauxhall snowflakes alloys, all shod with high brand/performance tyres. The Spare has had a crack repair, hence being the spare, it has held full pressure since the repair, but I replaced it with a BRAND NEW alloy from Vauxhall. The 3 remaining alloys were refurbished about 7 months ago, so are in excellent condition. Please note I have the correct EIBACH hub centric Spacers to fit the car, however I reduced the tyre size to make the required clearance, as I’m not keen on spacers.

INTERIOR:

Totally unmarked throughout, with charcoal leather trim, and genuine Vauxhall floor mats. All seats and arm rests are in excellent condition, with no marks, scuffs or leather cracks. However the drivers mat does have some heal wear. The carpets underneath all mats are near immaculate; I think the mats have been in the car since it left the dealer.

Full Siemens NCDC 2013 with bose custom speaker system with the factory fitted optional 5” colour map view monitor for the sat nav. The current disc is genuine Vauxhall, and works exactly as it left the factory. The buttons on the stereo and surround are in exceptional condition, these are prone for poor wear; however there are a few small unnoticeable marks, but certainly above average from the others I’ve seen. Please note this model does not include the GSM phone, this is the only option this car doesn’t have.

STANDARD FEATURES INCLUDE:
Twin front and side airbags
Traction control and ABS
Rear parking sensors (all work fine)
Electronic climate control (air con recharged last month)
Cruise control
4 Disc cd auto-changer in dash
Full Colour information display satellite navigation
Electric one button tilt/slide sunroof
Xenon headlights ( New genuine GM bulbs last year)
Rain sensitive wipers
Electro Chromatic anti dazzle rear view mirror
Indirect night lighting

OTHER:
Please understand this is my pride and joy, It has been my personnel car for 18 months, prior to that it belong to my cousin, I’ve known the car 3 years and has been serviced at the same place in this time. It has had £1000’s spent on making it into its current condition and maintaining it has not been cheap. I know I wont get my money back, But I have to price it on its condition not only mechanically, but body work wise along with all the expensive work been completed.
not the cheapest, but certainly one of the best.
Comments welcome, but please think before you post about negativity as this is a genuine for sale advert from a passionate Omega owner.

The price is £3,450ono

The car is booked in a www.finerdetail.co.uk on the 28th May. New photos then.

Current ones are 3 months old.

Good, well written advert, with excellent pictures to match!

I, like the vast majority of others on here, share your passion (I've got two Omegas and looking to get another!), but this is still an 8 year old Vauxhall Omega (albeit in superb looking condition)  that's done the best part of 100k.  Even with the high performance tyres and various toys, you'll never get anywhere close to £3.5k for this car.

This is just my opinion - and I think I'm being realistic not negative.

CHANGE OF NAME FOR SWISSVAX SAPHIR
Swissvax's popular 40% carnauba wax Saphir has now been rebranded and is called Mirage.  This is a name change only; the product remains the same.

      Mirage (formerly called Saphir)
Premium grade wax containing a high concentration of ultra pure Brazilian grade one carnauba (Over 40% by volume) and is an excellent choice for modern water based paints of all colours. Enriched with coconut and avocado oil extracts. Produces a brilliant streak-free gloss.

£ 85.00 !! :o

Jeez.... Mind you what a finish (wonder how long it lasts ?)

Great car, its a real credit to you
