« on: 30 August 2014, 22:16:18 »

The following applies to the Facelift range, taken from 2003 brochure

Head unit and Bose availability:

CAR2004 no cost option on GLS/CD.

CDR2005 standard on GLS/CD/Sport.

CCR2006 standard on CDX/MV6, Elite adds Bose.

CCRT2008 cost option across the range, only available at cost with Bose on Elite, and no cost option with Bose on 3.2 Elite.

NCDC2013 optional on all except GLS/Elite, and, with Bose, cost option on Elite, standard on 3.2 Elite.

NCDC2015 as NCDC2013 but, with Bose, only optional on all Elite.

Display availability:

TID GLS/Plod only.

MID CD/CDX/Sport/MV6 and Elite with CCR2006.

GID CCRT/NCDC20XX.

CID only available with NCDC20XX.

Can you check MV6 again, as I'm pretty sure MV6 had CDR2005?

I'd check myself, but we all know where my brochures were :(

CCRT display only fitted to CCRT2008. Its not the same as a GID.

Its broadly similar for all Facelifts, with 3.0l gaining what 3.2 had etc, although very early 3.0l Elites had CCR2006/MID

Brochure currently in a different room ::) MV6 definitely had CCR2006 as standard. Only option is to upgrade to CCRT2008/NCDC20XX

Took a guess wrt the GID as the brochure doesn't differentiate the displays beyond TID/MID/CID...

Take the GID is the half height screen with Nav details at the top and check control, clock etc underneath :-\

Certainly earlier FL MV6 were "CD spec", thus came with the CDR2005.

GID is half height fully dot matrix display used exclusively with NCDx series.

CART/CCRT display is height height, but more "MID like" in that it has separate sections for different functions like clock and phone. Used exclusively for phone based HUs, so CCRT700 for MFL and CCRT2008 for FL.

It's perfectly feasible that earlier ones had CDR2005 fitted... That was lifted from the 2003 brochure and there are a few detailed differences such as auto wipers instead of rear blinds etc :y

I think most get specced up at purchase, or DIY retrofitted after, as the CDR2005 is a heap of junk. I could have sworn they had the single slot CD HU  :-\

Also, FL MV6 pretty much matched the CD spec, bar the sporty bits.

Ive always thought of the FL MV6 as CDX spec. minus the Sunroof, plus the Sports Pack.

So basically a lowered CD with different seats/wheels/bumper/spoiler/headlight washers ;D

Well there more closer to CDX than CD, in my book, Heated Seats, Xeons HL, CCR2006 etc plus the Sports Pack, or if you prefer an Elite with bits missing or how about a Lotus Carlton with even more bits missing.  ;D

PFL was CDX minus cruise, added HIDs (plus the sporty bits)

FL is CD, added HIDs (plus the sporty bits), in essence.
