The diff on my omega is on its last legs. does anyone know where to get a rebuild kit from? and how much it will cost inc. fitting? also is the diff from the newer models the same? (mine is a N) if not does anyone know what the diffrences are? cheers.

Rebuilding a diff is quite involved if you have to do much more than just replace oil seals, because the mesh of the gears needs to be set accurately so there is not too much backlash but that it's not so "tight" that excessive wear occurs. Not sure what this involves on an Omega diff but most require some special tools and accurate measurement.

As they can run to quite high mileages without trouble I'd probably be inclined to try to pick up a complete 2nd hand diff, and maybe just change the seals before fitting it rather then attempt a complete rebuild.
