fanimold gasket
« on: 29 May 2008, 13:12:04 »

Hey

what do people think of this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/956-New-Vauxhall-car-part-Manifold-gasket-Omega_W0QQitemZ320162189050QQihZ011QQcategoryZ10404QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

The price is definetly appealing! and to be honest the OEM one has lasted 110k and i plan on changing the engine in the next year or so, so i dont need it to last another 100k.

Also just for reference, does anyone know how much VX do it for with a trade card? i called to ask but they wouldnt tell me without the card number, and since its my mates, i dont have it lol

Also does anyone know the price of the studs and bolts?

Cheers

It doesn't say what model the fanimold gasket is for....

Also, don't touch it unless it's multi layer steel...

I've just looked in the 2008 Vx Trade Club book and Part No. 93170394 is not listed as a part which is available at Trade Club prices. You'd need to ask a dealer for their normal 'trade' price.

I personally woudn't cut the corners in this area, just in case it reduces your performance by leaking etc.

As suggested above, only fit if multilayered metal type.

Genuine article is £8.05 +VAT. I got 15% 'Trade' discount off this.

Yup, and you need 4 of them, plus the larger heat shield (that has 2 in as well).  Nice and easy to change on the TD as well :)
