Yep, saw that this morning. Could be the type of driver that buys these cars as well, though.  :)

Elderly sensible people.....waiting for a tap on the shoulder from Mr G. Reaper.

Although not while driving their Volvo. :)

Anyone remember the news item from a few years back, when a Yank driving a Wjnnebago climbed into the rear compartment whilst driving to make a coffee - because he had been told it had automatic transmission!  ::)

The alleged story was due to it having cruise control .....  ;)

Ah yes, you are right - and my memory let me down, as it was a few years back, on DriveTime, Radio 2. In more detail, apparntly the Dimmo complained to Winnebago that there wasn't a warning label on the dashboard, and, being America, Winnebago paid him compensation and gave him a new vehicle!
They also fitted warning labels to all subsequent vehicles.
Only in America..... ::)

It's actually a very effective method of product development  ::)

But don't let that get in the way of a spot of Yank bashing...

As a mate of mine used to say "It's fully automatic but you have to be there"
