Omega Buzzing noise
« on: 14 January 2013, 16:03:23 »

Hi all me again.   >:(.     Has anyone noticed a buzzing noise when you switch engine off.?   It stopped once I pull the key out of ignition.  Thing is I've not noticed it before and now my bloody battery is flat??????  :-\   The noise is like a buzzing bleep that sounds like its being strangled..

.........or is it the buzzer that tells you that you've left the key in the ignition when you open the door.  :-\

It sounds like the noise when I've opened the door with key in ignition BUT the door is still closed. ???

Could it be a faulty door switch? Sounds like the sensor thinks the door is open.  :-\ Might be worth opening the drivers door with the key in ignition as normal and pressing the door switch in by hand/foot to see if it stops.  :y

Fair point about interior light not being on with door shut, so back to square one.  :-\

Very concerned about this power sounder thing!!!   Shall I just disconnect that anyways???
undo wipers(13mm nut) rock base of wiper to losen it then ondo star drive nut(drivers side)
carefully lift windscreen rubber at base of plastic trim and undo-remove clips(flat scewdriver)
Remove rubber draught excluder then you can lift plastic panel out of way
Power sounder is black plastic box on drivers side (10mm nut) undo/unplug and throw in bin
hope that helps -can do that in 20 minutes(done loads)
