Black (dark charcoal) leather interior for Omega saloon.

This is the CDX spec facelift version.

As such it is manual movement with just the motorised height adjustment, this means its a direct replacement for lower spec cars and doesn't need the faffing with connections and extra wire looms needed to get the elite seats to work.

All seats in very good condition no rips or tears

All airbags and pretensioners fully intact.

Originally from a 52 plate CDX that had done 80k, transferred into my CDX and only covered 10k before being removed (cloth was put back in when car scrapped)

Only problem is only have 4 headrests so middle back seat headrest is NOT included

Also have the 'wood trim' door cards but these are all in variable condition so can be included if required

Yours for £80ono collected from near Grays in Essex close to jct 30/31 M25

Courier at buys cost

Cash on collection or by PayPal

Any questions please ask

Photos available on request

I have a pair of brand new cam covers for the X25/ X30 series engine.

These are the plastic ones with the single spark plug not the coil pack

Part numbers are 90501639 & 90501640

They are brand new and never been fitted, I now don't have and X code engine so surplus to requirement

Nearside cover (the one with oil filler cap hole) comes with a full gasket and O ring set which is GM branded, but up to buyer if they use these

These are £120 upwards each (if you can find them new)

So grab a bargain at £120 for the pair or £80 each

Postage guessing £8 extra or collection form near jct 30/31 M25

Payment by PayPal or cash on collection

Any questions just ask

Do Signums suffer from the chocolate GM 6 speed gearbox?

Dave

The 2.8 V6 Turbo Signum uses the same gearbox as the VXR (and other spec) Vectra - AF or F40 6 speed - which iirc is pretty much bullet proof, its the M32 that's a bucket of wank and not sure if it was used on the Vectra C

Older V6 and diesel Vectra/ Signum used the AF33 5 speed that had water/oil in the heat exchanger killing the box issues, but that's the only major gearbox issues I've heard about (and had happen)

Yep......four maps none of which made any difference whatsoever.....apart from sending the car go into 'limp mode'. :-\

Very odd, mine has been fine and noticeably different, it could be coil packs and plug gaps causing the issues, happens a lot when these are tuned and GM did change the plug gaps on later engines.

Another option is EDS which is quite well respected.

Also JZW do a lot for the SAAB version and are moving into the Vectra, but its still being developed, a Vectra VXR with a JZW was no match for my Signum, which was quite funny, but the Vectra did have a lot of gear in the boot which will have blunted the performance a bit

At £359 it is not cheap though.

Bluefin by Superchips.

Removable when you want, handset is also a basic code reader, you download a copy of your map currently on the car, send it to them, they then send you the new one back.

After over 30k miles its been reliable, but you may need new/ re gapped spark plugs and it will highlight coil pack deficiencies

Well worth the £300 they occasionally discount them out for including a K&N filter - Ebay or Demon Tweeks is your best place to look

With a remap 300 BHP and 400 pounds of torque....all through the front wheels though. :-\

Nobody gives it a second glance .....which I like. :y

This - mine has been, probably only around the 280bhp mark but its got a shed load of torque over standard

I will acknowledge it is a bit of a nightmare in the wet for the TLGP even with an auto box  ;D

They don't all cost £500 a year RFL, mine is an 06 plate and costs the same as my 3.2 Omega, it doesn't drink silly amounts of fuel, in nearly 9k miles in the last 6 months its averaging 24.2mpg, bearing in mind mine is a daily driver and I drive in and out of London in a lot of stop start traffic, that to me is more than acceptable, be a girl and that could easily be nearer 27mpg.

Its very similar to sit in and drive to the Omega, but considerably quicker than the 3.2.

I previously had a 3.2 Signum and that was quicker than the Omega, same fuel economy but for the cost I would not bother just get the 2.8.

Same goes for the 2ltr turbo, 180ish bhp as standard is a little weedy for a car that weighs about 1600kg - depending on spec - hence why quite thirsty.

The 2.8 turbos are cheap because of the scare stories over Insignia and Vectra VXR 'chain stretch'. Its quite rare, and there is no correlation between age, millage, tuned or not and the problems - worse case scenario a set of chains and oil pump can be done for less than £1100 independently up to £2k from a Vauxhall dealer

Does put quite a smile on my face driving, it will give 330/ 335 BMWs, ST Focus, R32 Golfs a run for their money, and when de badged most people don't have a clue what it is

The problem with sticking a high intensity discharge tube (HID) in the space designed to take a filament lamp (H1 or H7) is that the optics aren't designed for it.

The light from a halogen lamp is emitted by a short, small diameter, filament that approximates to a point source. The light from an HID tube is emitted from a larger diameter source which is why the cut off is so poor in headlights with retrofitted HIDs.

If this is the case it may be wise to stick with the Night breaker bulbs when they arrive.

However, Vectra C owners who have used the HID conversion seem very happy with the results.

Perhaps the original lights are so poor that anything is better than the standard set up.

HIDs are only different on the facelift as they are self levelling units, as are the adaptive forward lighting ones.

AFLs is quite an easy upgrade if you can get the bits - the lights, control module, possibly UEC if yours is missing fuse hole and bumper with washers + pipework - best bet is to rape a rear ended VXR

EBay HID kit is easy, stay with 6000k and you don't get the blue tint or the blind everyone problem. Think they are about £49

BUT you will need Tech2 to tell it you have HID's otherwise you will get bulb failure warnings and strobe effect - ignore the EBay fault free descriptions or paying extra for 'cancellers' just go Tech2

There's a lot of very odd ones round East London

Often see standard Golfs, Scenics, Zafiras, Focuss (or Foci?), Shoguns and the like with blue lights in the headlight and tail light areas, no extra add ons like the 'road wars' cars.

Not sure If some form of response team but they do appear to be in a rush.

You should run the Signum on Tesco momentum 99.

I've found in mine using Vpower or super BP makes no difference to 95 octane, but running on 99 the engine seems to run smoother and pull better.

There is no real increase in mpg (maybe 20 miles per tank) and doubt there is any more power but it definitely runs better especially in heavy traffic.

That's a test over the last 2 years try different fuels for a month - circa 2k miles- at a time over all sorts of conditions

Would also add re-gapping the plugs to 0.8mm also makes it run and pull better

You can buy the Mongdog with the same 2.5T engine as found in Focus ST/ various Ovlovs.

Chances are its been tuned and just running very rich on the over run or they have gone for an anti lag system (unlikely)

Copies don't have it. That's pretty much it.

Later discs also lose the postcode search for some reason.

That's why I've stuck with the older disc

Also don't try and update firmware with a copied disc, I did once and nearly bricked the system, luckily having a second go with a genuine disc solved the problem

General Car Chat / Re: Expansion tank hoses 2.8T Sigvec.
« on: 25 August 2015, 08:37:32 »
Phil, my understanding is that the new hoses fit the revised coolant tank and are not the same as the hoses used for the previous tank.

I still have the old tank........which is not leaking as of yet. :y

Fairly sure the pipes are the same.

Think I swapped the pipes over a couple of days before changing the expansion tank and there were no issues.

They are an odd pipe in as much that the old ones tapered where they were connected to a smaller ID think the new ones are a more uniform diameter

The new hoses are marked GM 12842477 and GM 12842478.

Getting back on topic, the new ones I fitted on my car have the above part numbers printed on them, so they are the correct ones

Expansion tank is a known issue. They crack, its almost impossible to see the leak. Some were changed by Vxl FOC but its not a recall

NeoBros for a replacement (sold for SAAB but does fit as I got mine from them) at about £40 but you need to swap the level sensor over.

Other common problem is the two little pipes that run from the expansion tank to the top of the turbo, they tend to wear and leak at the jubilee fitting, you cant just cut the pipe as they are tapered at the ends. Water drops on turbo heat shield so very difficult to spot

Pipes come as part of the expansion tank kit.

These little pipes are also swapped round for reasons that escape me right now, but apparently its better if they are.

New cap is the other option if you can see any stains on the bulkhead sound deadening

;D Send me the owners manual to read then :y I only have a Vectra C one here...

Have you seen what lights up when you fire the abs? ::)

You obviously have an old manual, have a look here:- http://vectra-c.swi.hu/VectraManual.pdf specifically p226

Everything is likely to light up on failure as you can via the regional settings change which side the fog light is, you can also turn on DRL's if you are that way inclined
