Hello, First time on here.
I have an 2003 Omega Estate 2.2GLS. The drivers door won't open, neither from outdide nor inside... The local garage can't open the door, hey want to cut a hole through the door pillar and then into
the door.
Any advice on how to open the door will be gratefully recieved.....

Wow, that's drastic! Can you give more details, please, e.g. is it actually locked; any movement on the buttons - inside or outside; any sounds from the lock motor?
Can you remove the door card and move things from inside?
Good luck, and welcome to the Forum.
Ron.

if the rest of the doors open ? you could remove the door card (may damage it ) but cutting the door pillar and the door is a big NO NO
sounds deadlocked
sounds like the "local garage" are ******* :-X
do they stable their horses at the back of their "garage"?
welcome along by the way :y
give as much info as possible ,in order for people to help ;)

You echoed my thoughts exactly, Dave! ;D

I wasn't saying that you offended me, Dave, merely that your post followed mine in much the same terms - hence the "echo"! ;D

Sorry Ron , where at cross purposes ,my dry sense of humor :y
any animosity in " i say it as i see it , and if i offend someone (who don't deserve it) i'll say sorry :o"
was firmly directed at the "Garage" in the first post ;)
Dam , that's twice I've has to use the "S word" in one post :P

That geezer Moshe Dayan once said "Never apologise, never explain" and you are getting into bad habits with your apologies!
I can't say that I've ever read anything offensive from you, unlike some others on here; mind you, that comes down to lack of education and poor breeding, so there's not much can be done about that. :(
Oh, that garage was beyond belief - cutting a hole in the door is best left to the emergency services if the car caught fire with the mother-in-law in it..... :-\

Yes Sorry Ron ;)
! Having re read the first post ....
the "garage" can't get the door open from inside either
there is screws holding the door card in the door shut sides plus 2 obscured by the dash ,not accessible with the door shut
if you remove the plastic trim panel top right ,inside the pull out cubby there's a secret screw
remove the tweeter grill , there's a screw behind there
and the base of the card has about 4 screws

if deadlocked the cam on the door barrel will force the rod down stopping remote triggering i assume :-\
i.e ,not allow you to remote trigger the door solenoid via remote control or hacking into the driver door loom at the kick panel
my omega is not here for me to check (on in-laws drive )
-
looking at the door handle mech on my spare door here at home....
turning the key in lock operates 1 rod plus 2 micro-switches
Seanus senna , what is the issue ? no key ? key won't turn?
tried the spare key ? tried the key the other way up ?
tried squirting WD40 via straw into the lock barrel ?

Hello and welcome to the forum :y. Good luck with the door problem, plenty of great helpers on here :y :y

Would've thought punching holes through the B pillar to be a big no-no.I'd sooner destroy the door card to get at mechanism it's a lot cheaper if nothing else to put right afterwards.Welcome to OOF by the way :y

Sounds like a stuck inner lock mechanism, they are greased from factory and it dries out
Step 1: (if button is in looked position)drop the window, pull the door button off it's rod, grab it with mole grips and pull up as hard as possible.
Step 2 : force the door card away from the door, this will wreck it, put the window up , spray tons of WD or suchlike towards the b post / at the back of the door lock mechanism whilst working the outer door handle and it should eventually unstick
