The game they were playing on Watsapp (or something similar) was Snog. marry or kill (usually avoid, but kill in this case for some reason).
Presumably the bloke chose option three.
There was also talk about an enormous strap on and how it would need shoulder straps.  ::) :)
Not very clever by the Chief strategist for the Prime Minister.  ::)

You remind me of my Uncle who when I was a kid would only ride British motorcycles. Bonneville's, Commando's etc.  He hated Japanese bikes and referred to them as Crapanese.  :)

One fateful day he took his latest Bonneville in for service and they convinced him to test ride a Suzuki GS850. He came home with it, never had a British bike again, and thought that Japanese bikes were the best thing since sliced bread!  ;D

I've not owned a British bike.

All Jap when I bought my first age 16. It was just old men who rode Brit bikes that leaked oil and wouldn't start.

However, I'd be happy to own a modern 3 pot 2500cc Triumph Rocket 3. :y

I often rode my mates Dunstall Norton Commando when I was 16 - until I got caught.
At  the time, the handling was a lot better than Jap bikes, but the vibration through the bars  and foot pegs was unbearable and forever causing bits to come loose and fall off.
Basically,it was a couple of decades out of date, and the build quality was atrocious. Just like most British cars at the time.
I borrowed a Trident for an hour (also when I was 16) and that was a lot better, but still felt like an old steam engine compared to Jap bikes.
Having said that my first Kawasaki triple blew the crank seals at quite low mileage which rendered the engine scrap.

Over complicated gimmickry for no sensible reason.
If people are too stupid to know when to use their wipers and lights (independently or together) they shouldnt be allowed to drive.  :)
;D

Says the chap.with rain sensing wipers on his Omega >:D

You're correct in your point and I am pretty sure noone disagrees with the sentiment :y

The rain sensing wipers are shite and dont get used. I apply a little pressure to get a single sweep in light drizzle, and otherwise just switch the wipers on.  ;)

Welding again on the Omega. Rear of n/s sill and quite a bit around the inner wheel arch.
As is often the case, once I chopped away all the rust there was a lot more welding required than I thought there might be, but its almost finished now.
Rain stopped play when I had one more smallish (2 inch by 4 inch) plate left to do.
Hoping to get it finished in the morning.
Then have a similar job (although a lot less welding) to do on sons Civic.
This all started with me deciding to attend to the rust bubbles on the rear wheelarches.  ::) ;D

The thing that could finish Starmer is if its proved he knew more than he let on about Mandelsons relationship with Epstein at the time he appointed him.
But who would replace him ?
Cant see anyone on the Govt benches who isnt at least as useless as him, and the Tories and Reform dont want an election yet, as neither of them are ready for it.

Very well said Don.  :y

And sadly, the kinder gentler, tolerant, diverse politics of the left have murdered Charlie Kirk in the U.S. in the last few hours ,because they hate his opinions but couldnt defeat them with reasoned argument.  ;(

Brilliant effort Dave. Great to see it paid off in the end.  :y

She will almost certainly get a huge payout for stepping down, as Politicians usually do for unfathomable reasons.
I imagine a deal was done behind the scenes, whereby she agreed to resign to save Starmer having to be the villain and sack her. The enquiry finds she did wrong but it was an honest mistake and not corrupt.
This then leaves the way clear for her to climb back up the greasy pole once the dust has settled.
Its not just her who is corrupt. Its the whole system that stinks to high heaven.
