General Discussion Area / Re: What has P*ssed you off today?
« on: 29 November 2025, 23:45:48 »
The fencers who came yesterday morning and took down my side gate and 6ft panel down the side of my house which was knackered. Then the delivery of the new stuff was late so he said he'd go and have look at another job and come back and finish after lunch.

The new stuff came, and then the fencer phoned and said he'd now be coming back in the morning at 7.30am. It was absolutely lashing down at 7.30am and he didn't come which wasn't surprising, but haven't seen him yet and he's not answering my calls FFS.  >:(

British builders, backbone of the country. >:D

How to become a builder?

F*uck about at school and leave with no qualifications. Then buy a knackered flatbed and you suddenly become an expert in roofing, guttering, tree cutting, drains, fencing, driveway cleaning and laying. :)
And then earn at least £200 a day, and only put half through the books. Nice work for a young fit bloke.  :)

Fixed that for you, Albs :)

Many thanks.  :y ;D

Im in a salary sacrifice pension scheme.
Im a state pensioner who is still working. The fiscal drag of tax allowances remaining unchanged mean I effectively pay 20% tax on my state pension, and inflation will eat into my standard of living.
One of the reasons Im still working is that Gordon Brown hammered those of us who were responsible enough to pay into private pensions out of our wages at the time.
There should be a law against Labour being in charge of the countries finances, even if they are in Government.

High tax, high spend budget.
They claim the number one priority is economic growth, but high tax / high spend means this is unlikely in the extreme.
Economic illiteracy yet again, but its in Labours DNA.

Joan Branson. 80.
Poor woman had to put up with that prick for 50 years. It would have been fairer if she outlived him and had some time on her own.  ::)

I dont think it will do too much harm tbh.
Similar to the desperate MSM trying to drag up racist remarks from Farage when he was a schoolboy.
Many people are totally disillusioned with Labour / Tories lies, incompetence and taking the electorate for granted, they are going to give Reform a chance, and hope they will do better.

General Discussion Area / Re: Latest Ukraine Peace deal
« on: 23 November 2025, 08:48:22 »
The one thing Europe has in its favour is the fact that Russia hasnt made that much progress in its invasion of Ukraine after three years of trying.
It has been shown to be a poor excuse for a superpower apart from its nukes.
It seems far fetched that they would have the capability to go back and take the whole of Ukraine and then carry on across Europe, in the foreseeable future.
China though, is a real worry. The are taking over the world piece by piece, and by buying all their tat, we are giving them the money to do it.

Blairs Human Rights Act, is the cause of most of the problems we currently have.
He deliberately opened the floodgates to uncontrolled mass immigration.
He put Brown in the Treasury who caused damage to the economy that will probably never be repaired.
He is responsible for the deaths and maiming of countless people, including many British service personnel.
Did he commit treason ?  A resounding yes from me.
The worst PM in my lifetime. I hate him with a passion.
