That'll be 12 points on your licence,in as many months,so best not to put temptation in your way, but that's very kind of you to offer :P Possibly could sell it and buy another 25 Omegas :-\ and that would also pee the neighbours off as well ::)

To be honest,I'm a little wary about starting the car up 'out of hours' as it doesn't have the Bi Modal exhaust cut out,and this is one noisy car. Also being supercharged, the car likes a a couple of minutes to settle down from  a cold start, as it's a bit of a handful trying to drive it cold without the warm up......Don't get me wrong,it's  650 horses of scary fun,but with the Batflu affecting the shows and meets, there's not much fun driving it to nowhere at 15 MPG on I'm thinking to keep it on the road this winter, with the option of taking it out on a dry day perhaps once every couple of weeks, and wait and see to wether Boris and his mates can get a handle on the Batflu.Still going to keep the three Amigos,as they aren't the problem as they all get a couple runs a week on a rotation basis at 6 a.m,and that's where I'd like to use the V8....but it's going to pee the neighbours off..bigtime, guaranteed! ::) ;)

Vinyl wrap......apparently this one was 2k....going to be 300 to remove it,plus any paint correction afterwards.....ouch! Just seen a very nice Holden Senator.....think there's a p/x deal to be had, more in keeping with my to old to be the fastest boy racer in town. ::)

I have a 6.2 LS3 supercharged VXR8,tuned by Luis Sola,but at 650 BHP......believe me that's really enough! I 'accidently' spun the wheels at 80mph during an overtake.....brown trouser moment....never to be repeated :o

I took the VXR8  to the Beaulieu Rod and Custom show last year, and was it rammed? even though it rained heavily, and that has sort of made me a bit twitchy as I had people coming from all sides to look at the car,and although the Omega is a different beast,I would guess that there's going to be a pent up need for people to get a fix of cars before the winter months,so the distancing part probably won't be adhered to.

Under normal circumstances, that would be a big yes...but we've been shielding from day one and have only broken cover a few times for odds and sods. Not sure wether this one will actually go ahead, and on a personal basis I would need to think about the risk if it did.....sorry to be a pussy :-\

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Took the VXR8 through our shitty one horse town and scattered the Batflu dodgers...amazing what 650 ponies will do in a confined space. Then back home to shift the fleet around to make space for tomorrow, as Autofarce are coming to fit a screen on the white Omega, and hopefully they won't nause it up.....hopefully! ::)

My 3.2 Elite has 245k on the clock, runs perfectly and oil consumption is minimal.....and with a few minor upgrades it's still a great driving car :y

Omega General Help / 2.5 and 3.0 ignition coils.
« on: 06 June 2020, 21:50:11 »
Just a quickie.....does the coil pack for the 2.5 fit the 3.0,it's just that there seems to be two types of plugs, oval or square and different positions of the plugs...TIA :y
