Jack Nicholson as well.

In the film, not six feet under. :y

Yes, he must stay around a little longer! 8) 8) ;)

The shining was/is a great film. :y :-* :-* :-* :-*

I have been going off the XFR's recently and this car was/is a contender. The XFR's within my budget are getting a bit too old and I no longer want a car so big. So for me its a choice between a 340i and XE-S. As Kev pointed out, rear folding seats are a hard to find option. I also need electric folding side mirrors and would like the larger navigation screen. The rear seats are apparently not as spacious as a F30 3 Series. Tough choice

Who owns the black pussy?

TB......the man who adores Shami. :)

Yes. A very attractive motor car......but I would say that wouldn't I. :)

Over the decades we have become very matter of fact about BHP outputs. When I was a kid any car with 100 BHP was considered to be 'a fine sporting saloon for the enthusiastic driver provided he had the appropriate amount of skill to handle such power'......think Lotus Cortina. :y

With 240 BHP Kevin's car has the same power as a late seventies Ferrari,  such as the 308 GTB, so called because it sported a 3 litre N/A V8. How times change.

I have only driven a 2.0 derv XE given to me as a loan car. What a great handling device, it made my XFR feel antiquated and leaden (which it isn't)

And, as a bonus, as your car comes without the engine from a cement mixer......what's not to like. :y

I imagine that many scousers are not a fan of Boris Johnson following his comments about Liverpool and it's people.

Nope.  Just like the Sun newspaper, something to be used in a toilet in and around Liverpool! True scousers do not forget :y :y

After 15 pints in a scouse drinking pit they do tend to forget........unless of course it's their signing on day. ::) ::) ::) ::) ;) 8)
No one has signed on for a good while now, it's all done online. Some of the comments on here really show how sheltered and out of touch some people are, living in the days of Harry Enfield or Bernard Manning.

:y :y I agree!  Bloody stereotyping that I have criticised before, with my lack of humour for these things, often by people who should either know better or who do not know the subject matter at all!! >:(

As for the unemployment question; Liverpool currently has an unemployment rate of 5%, against London's 4%. Considering how successive governments, managers, unions, coupled with people lacking imagination to meet the current trends, have treated areas like Liverpool, and for that matter all 'The North' over many decades, that ain't bad!

Going back to the subject of STEMO'S thread; the really good graffiti frequently is created due to how it is perceived particular areas of society,  and the individual, as in the above, is being treated by the "Lords and Masters".  Power to their elbows! 8) 8) :y :y

As for you Lizzie......you are a mere girlie and therefore not entitled to an opinion. ;) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Oh yes, do not worry Opti, I know my place on this Forum!! ::) ::) ::)

But unlike some now departed women on here, I metaphorically fight for my rights to voice an opinion :D :D :D ;)

Good.....I like a woman with balls......Oh, hang on, perhaps I had better revise that statement before I travel to Thailand... :o :o :o ;D :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

A friend of mine has an insignia 2.0cdti (around 2011/2012 age) which has a failed AC compressor, as diagnosed by his friendly local Vauxhall stealer in Leicester.

Excluding the diagnostics, they want 1600 to replace the item and refill his AC. :o.

I just can't understand how they arrive at that kind of number? Looking on the internet it seems the compressors top out at about 450, starting at 250-300 for Lucas/Denso. So even if you said the regas is 100, they're still booking 7hrs at 150/hr to get the job done. Which seems exorbitant.

I'm used to main stealers charging what I consider to be excessive prices, but this seems to go above and beyond!!

Simple.

They are car dealers, and have been using the 'think of a large number and then double it' method of calculation for yonks. :)

Alright, calm down, calm down.  :P ;D ;D......now you can call me a thick Paddy, and we,ll then forget all about.  :P ;)

Yep.....Albs is right. Giving and taking the piss is part of the forum........and we all miss Bernard Manning. ::)

He is a thick paddy who loves French cars......whilst I am an inbred carrot crunch who spends his day sucking on a piece of straw...... and you are an untrustworthy scouser  who seems to have lost his sense of humour.

As Albs says.......calm down, calm down. :D ;)

Peter Fonda writer, director and star of the 1969 cult classic film Easy Rider[which coincidentally was shown on TCM film channel last night]has died of lung cancer aged 79.

Almost the last of the great Fonda acting dynasty of the late father Henry and sister Jane, who still survives doing some cosmetic adverts,  fame.  Another era is passing.  :'( :'( :'(.

Get your motor running........head out on the highway...... looking for adventure.......and whatever comes our way. :y :y :y

Although these days they'd probably ask.....  do you really need to make the journey?..... and if you do wouldn't an electric car or bicycle be more appropriate than a Harley Davidson? :-\

ONLY if people get behind Boris and give him their full support instead of pulling in the opposite direction. Let's have a united country for a change; that way we will be unbeatable!

Ron.

Havn't you seen the news Ron?  ???

They're planning on a Government of National Unity made up of only 'progressive' remainy types, which will keep us in the Union, save our Union and we'll all be good little plebs and unite behind their plan.  :y

Bonkers!  ;D

Likely to be led by the 'remainy' Ken Clarke or the deluded feminist bint Harriet Harman. ;D

Long gone are the days when you could wander round and fill your pockets with all and sundry..... :-\

The days when you could pick up a couple of headlights and the bloke with the mentally unstable dog would say " giveusaquidmate"

These days they seem to charge half the new price, which is ridiculous.
