It's to stop the pad seizing to non piston side,as GM don't use copperslip, just slap copperslip everywhere, be fine then..

Best I fill the  vectra Saab. With fuel tommorow, before tossco's put the price up, as they've just knocked 3p off, there not one to miss a profit making scheme.

Dumped the Battlebus, got a 1l Focus instead.
Another holiday?  :D
Its a hard life.
Apparently so given the amount of time you spend in 1.0 Focuses every year ;D
Ignoring the fact the Focus is shite, for what it is, the engine is quite usable.

Although nothing is faster than a hire car, obviously.  Not even Imber's 2.6

Nothing is faster than a pool car with a full tank of petrol...............

There's actually two things faster,

4 scaffolders at 14.30 leaving site to get to the pub.

A tang on A75 going for the Friday boat, with the switch on.

The mechanic has tried heating but no joy.  Can you suggest anywhere for new/used or is it just a question of searching?

Get them red hot, crack lock nuts off,  then undo rods with a back and forth movement.

  https://www.tcfixings.co.uk/main/product/productinfo/7736/M5x100-Socket-Cap-Head-Screw-12.9-BZP/1

Know there bzp, but stainless available.
I'm told it has to be A2, and that doesn't spec thread length

Get in touch with Grampian fasteners, everything they do is suitable for the oil industry, in the North sea so a very tough environment, and is also suitable for the food industry

What prices are you looking for to be collected as is?

Had crossed my mind, but I don't think I would be popular if I rolled up with 2 more real cars. :'(
