Yes, we were talking about it too, given weve just had a week staying at a previous OOF campsite - Dalebottom.
We would prob be there, even with no omegas any more

I moved (back) to Zen a couple of months ago.

Line is ever so slightly faster that with BT, but it just NEVER drops unless I reboot,  stark contrast to BT resyncing every week or 2.  Doesnt really mater to me, but an intersting observation none the less.

It's not what the police were actually doing that is necessarily at fault, but the perception that their face to the public instills. I've experienced this too. Their communications with members of the public is abysmal at the moment, at a time when they are percieved to have plenty of resources for dealing efficiently with people who stray a couple of MPH over the speed limit.

"Here's your crime number now f-off!" after being kept on hold, explaining yourself 3 times to 3 different people with zero local knowledge is par for the course these days, IME.

This is not to denigrate their front line officers who generally do a superb job of absorbing the sh!ie that's thrown at them from all directions.

A number of years ago I caught a lad trespassing on the heritage railway, he had just let off a fire extinguisher in a couple of carriages and had pinched some period Guards clothing.

The fact we had 'detained' him resulted in a full Blues drive in double quick time to the centre......I am sure if we had not got him it may have been very different!

Pity you don't have some electic rails you could have 'found' him on!

How does the current phone line get to the house, They will normally mirror that run, although I found they were happy to run the fibre to a different room then the phone cable.

Im my case Phone line was from pole to right side of house. The fibre comes to the same place on the top of the house initially but they routed the fibre to the left side room rather than the right like the phone cable

current phone cable is buried about 9 inches below the surface in a field - I'm not at all fond of that because I want it deeper and that's a lot of digging even with a 1.5 tonner

Is it in a duct?  Fibre is usually blown along ducts so they may well be able to utilise that.

Hard decision to come to, as was ours when we waved goodbye to big blue a week or 2 ago.
But when the time comes, the time comes.

I was suprised to see you can now 'Send off' the V5 online when selling a car, saves a stamp.

I get a fair few cheques....Check your mobile banking app, you can probably pay it in by taking a photo of it!  Yes, really!  Clears the next day too.

We often wonder about Cem too.
I believe Cem and Richie Rich stayed on arsebook for a while after, but Den just disappeared. I hope nothing nasty befell him.

Yes, remained in touch with both of them for some time, but Cem disabled his account in the end, given the troubles in the area we do worry.
Den's health was poor from memory, so fear the worst there to be honest.
