had this happen years ago on Mk2 Cav. Broke wheel brace, socket t-bar and ratchet after it got two off. stuck on side of road so wouldnt normaly have used the ratchet. got the AA out in the end. he had four foot long torque wrench that clicked as soon as he tried to remove the bolts. he swore and said they were at over 250lb as he hadnt reset the wrench after his last job of lose hub nut.I took the car back to the tyre centre and got then to take the wheels off and refit them with a torque wrench correctly. while I watched. Got reimbursment from them for the broken tools and my time.

I have done the same from a trailer centre in Essex. Best bit is you know all brakes and lights will be working correctly. I used to be involved with banger racing years ago. My own trailer was always maintained correctly but many other racers didnt bother. they would lend them out at the drop of a hat, but then the risk is to the driver of the tow vehicle to check it will stop and has working lights. Unless you know the lender well, be aware, its your licence.

Nice car but those wheels are fragile though unfortunatly. Couldnt have them here in Essex, be wrecked with flat spots and buckles in no time!

Mine was a 65 Victor 101 saloon in white. repainted it in light blue mettalic and sold it straight on. My next was what I always called my first proper car, a 64 Victor FB estate. Fantastic car. I do have an old slightly faded photo of it somewhere, Persian blue roof, Roulette blue body.

I like the Autiglym super resin polish and their bumper care. i also have some of their super gloss polish for dark colours which is good. Whenever I can get outside and clean the car next, its to damp here to enable me to do it at mo, I have bought some super gaurd. Got this to try to preserve the new paint finish for longer. They say it only needs re super guarding every three years. Will report back once I can get to use it.

Thats the one Andy B, thanks. Had sills and rear valence made so far, got a pair of new wings. will be getting lower rear quarter panel sections done next, got them done for the monza. Senny ones are 75mm longer with the front and rear at the same dimensions as the monza ones. Then, its just the time to get on with it!!
