WTF would you be able to use as a 'tow car' for this?

Anyone use it? If so, what do you use it with? Pressure washer or garden hose type?

General Car Chat / How much?!
« on: 05 March 2014, 13:57:21 »
I've just dug out all (well, the vast majority of) the receipts for things spent on & bought for my omega since I bought it in Oct 2003. They all add to almost £6600 ... added to that would be the cost of 10 MOTs & insurance. Not bad really

General Car Chat / 14 plates
« on: 01 March 2014, 23:55:41 »
My lad phoned me earlier to say though he'd not been looking for one, he'd spotted a 14 plate car.
I always used to look out for new reg plates 1st Aug every year, but these days forget about the new plates coming out.
Anyone else seen a new car today .... or even remembered to look out for one?

General Discussion Area / Humax HDR FOX T2
« on: 22 February 2014, 20:35:02 »
We've had this for a few years now, no problems till last night. We watched something that'd obviously had a bad reception when recorded, badly pixilated at times ..... anyway, when we tried to delete it, it's locked up - showing *deleting in the corner of the screen.
I've tried the usual turn off & on ...... didn't work. Turned off all night, turned on this morning ...... didn't work. Downloaded what I think is the latest software 1.02.32 to a pen drive (didn't note what was already installed
), stuck pen drive into the back (broke the HDMI cable
) (replaced HDMI cable
) turned Humax back on, it booted up off the pen drive, it installed restarted and ................ didn't work!
Any sensible suggestions please

Omega General Help / Rear blind
« on: 22 February 2014, 15:20:18 »
While I was giving my Omega a clean I wanted to clean the rear window, but the blind seems to like being a blind & is staying put. I've had the blind out once .... ages back .....
Is there an easy way to get to the motor to help it? I'm guessing not .... but thought I'd ask anyway.
This is what happens when you leave a car on the drive without using it for months.

General Car Chat / trim removal tools
« on: 11 February 2014, 20:10:07 »
Does anyone have any of these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5039.m570.l1311.R1.TR10.TRC0.A0.Xcar+trim+&_nkw=car+trim+removal+tool&_sacat=0&_from=R40
I've just ordered a pair of the pliers type the other day, but was also considering a set of the plastic pry bar type. They seem to range form 15 piece down to 4 or 5.
Any views one way or the other?

Glad to see they've been found safe & well, but apparently they'd gone there to get away from the wet UK weather .... can't knock their thinking

I wonder what Mummy & Daddy do to afford to spend £30000 a year on edumafacation
That's earning c£50k gross just for school fees
