« on: 01 July 2017, 23:22:50 » seems to work ok, There is a 16mb limit. Although this won't be a problem 95% of the time though.  :y

Architect apparently.  ::) ;D

Had a quick look.

One sensor is definitely not working and I'm not sure about another (possibility working intermittently) where as 2 sensors are working as they should.

I do have a spare Omega with 4 fully working sensors and that's working as it should but that car is currently off the road / spare car. The bumper isn't in as good a condition as the one on the car I use so swapping the whole thing over isn't really an option. Are they easy enough to remove/fit?

I'll check over the wiring firstly etc... Before doing anything else.

Thanks for the replay, Sorry I've not had a chance to respond or look into this yet due to a bereavement.

I'll try the methods suggested above and take it from there  :y

If one of the sensors appears to be faulty can these be bought easily enough or used only?

Thanks again.

PS: TB I'm not sure what you mean by refused the link?

28c according to the Omega, Nice and chilly inside the car though  :y

Here's a small clip with the beeping sound it makes with the purple fuse removed, Presumably some kind of error code?

With the fuse in place there's just a constant beep sound.

4 advisories here on a 51 plate with 209k (mainly lose surface rust in various locations on the underside, No mention of the sills.)

Passed the MOT and took this picture  :y

Feared as much....  :-\

Just got the A/C all good again... Typical.  ;D

Are all the fans the same (drivers side) front fan? That's the one I need.

The only one I can find for sale with the same part number is this one from OSP. although I do believe he still offers the 10% discount.

I take it if a new one is available it would be a stupid price.

...Here's the part number on the fan I need.

The 2 front A/C fans on a 3.2 Omega, Is there a guide on the best way to remove them? One of mine seems to have seized solid :-\

... I've had a look but couldn't find a guide?

If there's no guide, Has anyone done this job? What's the best way to remove them?

Thanks in advance  :y

You mean less vulnerable  ;)

It's not like anyone can remotely hack an Omega compared to these newer cars, Wasn't there something in the news awhile ago about a Jeep or something being hacked and the car crashed?... Not to mention the self driving cars etc.. Fun times ahead, Fun times ahead.......  ;D

General Car Chat / Re: Dashcam Query

And I totally agree. Those going under the limit when conditions allow are a real pain! :y

That's where the kick down switch comes in handy... When conditions allow naturally  ;)

I bought a new Dash camera in December to replace the front Transcend DrivePro 200 camera, The Transcend was a great camera for the money 59 back in 2014 with no issues. But it had one major flaw for me seen as the car wasn't used daily.. Roughly after 3-5 days of no use the camera would forget the time/date. Apart from that i couldn't fault it, Maybe it was on the large side so you'd ideally need to remove it when parked up. It even has WiFi connectivity with your smartphone to live stream footage, view clips, edit settings etc... Which for the price was good at the time.. The main thing though was the reliability that's what you need. Something you can just forget while it does it's thing in the background.

The camera I replaced the Transcend with was a unheard of brand to me, But apparently a well known brand in Australia. It's a Street Guardian SG9665GC v2 it's a very compact size, Completely discreet it cannot be seen from the outside as easily compared to most dash cameras... It's got a Novatek 96655 Processor with Sony IMX322 CMOS Sensor, 7 element (6 glass + IR cut filter), F/2.0 all metal lens and lens base, Medium-Wide 135 degrees diagonal, 112 degrees horizontal. It has excellent night viewing very clear. Daylight is also excellent. Every number plate is visible. It can also take up to a 128gb micro SD card so can hold plenty of footage before looping. Overall very happy with it. No WiFi connectivity unfortunately though. Comes with 24 months warranty.
