Looks like the oil pressure switch on one of the 3.2's has gone AWOL, question is..when you remove the switch,is there any significant leakage?....just need how much to expect.

Omega General Help / crank shaft sensor query.

Having  the sheds out to try and make sense of all the spares bought over the last four years....shocking!! I've found five OE crank shaft sensors 90492006, and presume that they are for the 3.0. Question is..are they suitable for the 3.2 also? :-\TIA

Omega General Help / Boot not opening.

Just a quick one, the boot on the Elite won't open, everything checks out i.e nos switch fitted  and fuses checked, but no action up the rear end. So presuming there must be a duff solenoid lurking somewhere, just need some idea as to where. tia

Just had a friendly verbal heads up from the MOT man. So thought I'd take a look this afternoon....and yes not looking good. So the question being, is a repair to all four points a feasible option, or should I send the car for scrap?

 Wanted sill cover end cap, my one got mullered in a crunch. If push comes to shove, I'll take the whole sill cover because the original is repairable and I'll keep what's left and save it for my next skirmish with a high kerb

Omega General Help / Headlight adjuster replacement.

I know that the recognised method of separating the lens from the body, is sticking the whole thing into the oven and heating it up to soften the sealant to gain access to the broken adjuster. But just having received a red card in relation to using the oven and kitchen as a workshop ( I only want to do four) bit harsh, so  that looks like a no! So the question is....has anyone either used a hair dryer or a heat gun to do the job and will it work? Now looks like I'll be  the green house for me if the advice is good. tia

Had a game of pin the donut down with the float in the expansion tank, but no luck. So had a look on fleabay, and there are some new ones available in Germany but...£26.00 apiece and £34.00 postage, and  that's a no from me! So has anybody got one kicking around and for sale? it's just that coolant level warning is getting on my wick   TIA

General Car Chat / Year 2000 F/L 3.0 a question of identity.

 As above....this is the cop car. registered 7/11/2000 easy enough. But I seem to be running into a bit of confusion when trying to get bits and pieces for it. For instance.... A/C compressors have a cut off date at 09/99,which for some reason the PFL and the F/L items must differ in some way, anyone got any ideas on that one, as there doesn't seem to be a reason to fix something that already works.

Went to get the A/C serviced today...garage said traces of dye on compressor pointing to a leak, so jog on as we ain't doing it So has any one got a suitable compressor kicking around, got to be in good working order TIA

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / 3.2 auxiliary water pipe wanted.

Another one of my shot in the dark posts looking for the hose that comes from the bulkhead and connects to the auxiliary water pump on the drivers side inner wing. Unfortunately the top end of the hose has a push/pull connector, which makes a Billy Bodge it repair awkward.

A complete set of 2.2 A/C pipes, just been refurbished by Bee Cool at the cost of £300, I'm not giving them away for free, but I need £50 to help to take away the hurt (don't ask ) you can be confident that these have been refurbed properly. They have just done one of my 3.2's and everything is 100%.  Second hand set currently on Fleabay @£65....BTW collection only from Reading, Berkshire.
