Somewhere in the HP Scan app you (probably) installed should give the option to set it up.

did you install the basic driver, or full printer software package?

Just checked, it was the full software package, done on the 11th June. :y

I must apologise for my belated response to your help. Unfortunately my wife suffers from a chronic and deteriorating illness, coping with which restricts my personal time. :y

Hmm, not sure but will look at that.

I used and still use T’bird.  :y

Agreed, 7 was simple, even for me to use. 10 is far too complex.  :-[

Pub up the road had a dozen cars outside at 10 this AM! I live in a small village, Pop under 2000.

Sorry for the delay, due to trying establish what I meant :-[

It will print a letter using my WP, Textmaker, with no problem, however when I try to scan a document to email it advises "Scan to email application not found."

Answers to the replies above:

1. I downloaded the latest printer software when I installed 10 recently.

2. The PC is running 64bit, and I assume that the printer needs it to be the default in order for it to work with all applications, including scanning to eMail.

3. I tried unticking the box BM suggested, but it makes no difference, still get the same message.

Any further options to resolve this? Other than paying HP to ask a question.

Omega General Help / Re: Removing an auto gear knob

Hi chaps, as the title says - I'm ordering new leather waiters and wondered how easy it is to remove an auto knob? I fitted them easily on my manual, but that has a smaller knob (ooh er missus).

Do tell ::)

So far I've had two holdays cancelled this year (still waiting on refunds, thanks easyJet  ::) )

I've got flights booked for Oct 28th to Fuerteventura, as I hope by then the 'new normal' will be well-seasoned.

Just wondering if anyone has any future plans for a Holiday abroad?  When and where do you plan to go?  Are you worried bout it?  Do you think you will actually travel?

Just received refund of a flight cost from EJ after 6 weeks. They are - currently - refusing to refund part of the car hire cost, claiming I should have cancelled the car hire via ‘manage my booking’ despite telling me, in the cancellation email, to do so ‘directly with the service provider’, which I did.
Hmmm, we shall see, barrister daughter is on the case. Any bets?

I invariably put UK in the search term as well. Doesn’t seem to make much difference.

Is the Austin basically the pointy nose A40 van with windows and a fold down back seat, and van type rear doors?

Yup.

And if you take a Car and trailer test in an auto, you can only tow using an auto, even if you hold a manual licence.

For the bigger stuff, you can take the test in either manual or auto bearing in mind that manual trucks and buses are rare, if you only hold an auto you can only drive an auto truck/bus but if you have a manual car licence, you can drive either regardless of what you passed your C/D test in.

I never knew you had to take a test to tow a trailer.  :-[
