I'd probably have landed in Brackley  ;D ;D

Just back off hols in Lanzarote, all lovely. Arrived home very weary at 3 AM and as approaching the house thought " The wheely bin don't half pong a bit" as I opened the front door and instinctively went for the light switch the realisation hit me that the house was actually  completely rammed with gas, turns out Father in law ( stone deaf ) had kindly brought some milk etc that morning and had inadvertently knocked one of the gas rings on and this had been hissing away in the sealed up house for nigh on 15 hrs :o

Stupidly went in and opened every door and window,  Christ it was potent, BG emergency where round in half an hour or so and after a while the sniffer said it had dissipated enough to go in.

I'll remember to turn off the mains next time, something I've never considered doing before. Won't tell FIL as he'd be distraught  :'(

Free carbon monoxide detector was a bonus  :y

Heading to Lanzarote on Monday, will hopefully not be caught up in the heat blast  :o it's frigging miles from mainland Spain so should be ok

Can I get some tasty pies from Tony H's gaff and sit and watch you swear at your car please mister???

I've broken 12 or so manual cars and the gaiters are always split, none of the cars have had a driving issue so I'd be inclined to just leave it alone  :y

Head gaskets and cam chains are a corsa consumable, not that expensive to fix mind but mk6/7 fiestas are a better bet in my opinion

Any lights on the dash? Stored fault codes?

I'd be suspecting cam sensor or coil pack

Reminds me of my cousin towing his van to France with a 2.6, sudden death rattle then the crank seized near Dover,if petrol and the codes are right its sounding like a coil pack but the smoke is concerning me

Yeah the Corbyn / IRA link has been very well promoted by the Stasi completely unbiased BBC.  Estimates of between 3095 and 30,000 killed by Pinochet, didn't stop Thatcher sticking her nose up his a*se,

No deletion required thanks, If you need binoculars to see the evil that is practiced by the majority of the Tory party and their recent policies then I have a spare pair.

General Car Chat / Possible V6 needed NW area
« on: 09 July 2018, 14:32:07 »
One of our North Western Bretheren's Mig has been on the receiving end of another car...twice  :o... not sure what will be happening repair wise but they are keen to replace with a mig if the worst happens, thought I would be helpful see if there are any reasonably priced V6 models within the fold needing a new home?

Also I still want any dead/scrap Omegas around the same area !!  :)

I'd personally ask for a pistol to be sent through and I'd happily do myself in rather than have to go through all that to get out, deep water and tight spaces are my worst nightmare  :o :'(
