I recall a story from some years back wherein a man on the gallows about to be hanged called out "I am Jack.....". He never finished the sentence, for obvious reasons, and it was assumed that he meant to claim to be Jack the Ripper. Lizzie, any thoughts?

Sympathy to you, Mr. Tilbo. Research has shown that Man Flu is far more virulent than the female variety, and we suffer the agonies of near-death, so take care and enjoy the ministrations of 'er indoors!  :y :y :y

Does anyone remember what we used to call the Honolulu penny? Later pennies had Britania's trident resting on her knee; earlier ones had the trident resting "on her lulu"!

The earliest that I can remember are halfpeny chews and "flying saucers" at 4 for 1d. Oh, and frozen Jubblies in their tetrahedron packaging - lasted for ages!

Thanks Nige, even I understood that! A bit like a P.O. Box number?

I had every intention of joining the curry club, but things didn't work out for me. Easter sounds great and I would love to join you, all being well. :y

I do understand what you are saying - the cases are too stiff, yes? Mine needed replacing last week mainly because my fingernails had got to "girly" length and damaged the casing: but the fob was rather old.

My wife can operate the buttons easily, and she is a 7 stone weakling, skinnier than a racing snake!

Agreed, Tilbo. When they choose to behave in an inhuman way, why should we treat them humanely?

TB, here's sopmething else that I bought last week for you to ctiticise!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Vauxhall-Opel-Vectra-Astra-Omega-3-Button-Remote-Key-Fob-Case-repair-A47/162512736244?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

My previous pikey fob had lasted at least 5 years, worked well and was a doddle to fit, so I am happy. This one is UK sourced, cheap (2.49) and delivered nextday.
