Do you honestly believe that the general public has any concept of what Iran's capabilities were before the weekend?

Didn't think so. Why then would we know the whole capabilities now?

What is certain is that, to misquote the UN Nuclear chappie, the.Iran of today is not the same Iran as a week ago.

Of course not! However the 400kg is the figure bandied about in various press. What does it actually matter? 300, 400, 4000. The point is still the same . Only a bunch of idiots would have left it where the US could bury it. They are not idiots.

According to some” low level loser” the bombing has only managed to put back Irans bomb making capability by a few months. Iran had enough time to move the 400kg of enriched material . We all knew that. So maybe the bombing was symbolic? Presumably if they had bombed the actual material, there would have been radiation problems.

The can just kicked down the road?

Good point.

The US asked China to ask Iran not to disrupt the Straits. No doubt Russia are hoping they do disrupt so they benefit from the price increase.

As an aside haven’t Israel had the nuclear capability for maybe 60 years. It seems a bit rich expecting Iran not to. Israel hasn’t exactly covered itself with clean tactics over Gaza. One man’s freedom fighter is someone else’s terrorist and all that.

On Trump.Seems strange he can’t influence Putin ( maybe that though was all about  getting the Europe element of NATO to spend more and shoulder Ukraine) but he can do a bit of bombing when Netinyahoo whispers “ jump” in his ear.

Let’s hope if there ends up being a regime change , it is less agravation than Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya or Syria.

Yesterday, running into today really. Spent over 6 hours in West Suffolk Hospital yesterday evening. Got away, finally at gone 1am. Unfortunately ,had to leave SWMBO behind in there. Having some frightening angina attacks yesterday so was sent to hospital by our Drs. surgery after an ECG late afternoon.
Got the dreaded phone call about an hour later, get her up to A&E post haste. After various tests and retests, they said sorry, you ain't going anywhere tonight. She hates hospitals anyway but was wheeled off to the Acute Assessment Unit and bedded down for the night.
Went to see her this afternoon and she is now stabilised and no more episodes, but she does have to have a course of blood thinning injections over the next five days. Bugger this i thought, who's going to cook my tea?  :D The freezer stocks will take a bit of a hammering over the next few days. ;D
Oh, the parking cost me nearly £16 too. :o  Vinci, bloody thieves. >:(

Here’s hoping foraspeedy resolution. Rang a friend in Fuengirola to see how they were. Ok , just trying to stay alive. I thought how appropriate as we age.

Ruddy hospital parking makes my blood boil too. Scarborough hospital was paid for by donations from residents. Then given to the nhs. The irony now is you have to pay . I can understand it in a town centre but not in a field. It is like rubbing salt in the wounds ( twice).

It is still light in England but dark here in Spain.

It is hot as hell here but cooler in England despite apparently being nearer the sun and having longer days!

Answers on a postcard. Prize is ice cold beers.

My dad was old enough to remember how their house was built. Each house on the estate was built with a soak away ( amazingly). Very few if any inhabitants know. He successfully claimed a reduction in water rates by proving rainwater goods waste did not appear in the street distribution. Just a few quid.

Scroll on and the property is up for sale. I have reinstated the down pipes as that is what normal people do ( saves spalling) and the water company have spotted house is up for sale and want a meeting………

I would love to be there and ask “ what about the umpteen sewage discharges per year?”.  That ain’t going to happen. Water rates for new owner will conform , water rates will continue increasing and sewage dumping will continue unabated.

The police here stopped a car with 120,000 euros. The driver hadn’t got a valid reason for the cash so it was confiscated.

We can’t pay for anything over 1000 euros with cash.

I think the max amount of Euros you can take out or in the country is 10,000 but you need an audit trail.

Quite possibly!

Anyway, I did some research and several sites suggest spraying carefully  with diluted peppermint oil. So about 8 quid and the appropriate amount of drops to volume of water, well agitated.

Will have to see if it does the job!

Had a difficult day. Just been out to check coolant level before a fair trip tomorrow and rodent damage under the bonnet. Wiring looks ok , hope damage is just bonnet sound deadening and that the critter has gone.

A few years back , a VW dealer noticed some under bonnet rodent activity and recommended packing spaces with polystyrene. Changed dealer and the tech removed all of my handiwork!

You could be right. No aide memoirs either. Our teachers had broken chair parts, rulers and board rubbers.

Question on Radio 1 this afternoon.

A cricketer hit what with a ball? Pigeon or Pterodactyl? Err I will say pigeon as never heard of a Pterodactyl. Correct!

What on earth do youngsters actually learn at school nowadays?
