This was the first year in several that we haven't been, and I missed it.. beautiful weather for it, too. I've never found the traffic a problem getting there or away, even leaving from Northampton we're usually there by 10..

Ironically, this is the first year that I'm also a GRRC member and we still didn't go  :-X ;D

Wait until next year and you can go in the Cobra... Maybe  ;D

Way hey. Need a passenger to even up the weight distribution ?

Doesn't surprise me.

Everyone buys in to this EU club unquestioningly.  Through good times and bad.

To be honest apart from Donald Tusk’s poor comments they have all kept a civil approach . He was just articulating what many no doubt think.

Here in Spain it is hard to find anyone that thinks Brexit is a good idea. I drove down a new road today paid for by an EU grant of 489,600 euros and 34 cents. Very nice. I wonder who paid for that. Rhetorical question only.

Just do the maths.

Those that didn't vote don't care otherwise they would vote.

Of those that vote 50% do not see anything wrong with the EU.

Of the remaining 50% at least a half haven't a clue what is going on.

That leaves a small band of folk who do see and know where we are headed. They ( us?) are branded little Britains, dim wits, poorly educated etc and so are marginalised.

Roll-on the peoples vote and a return to normailty. Oh and no shortages . :y

So, the Donald is siding with the Tories. Not surprising as the US will do well out of a trade deal with Britain. Wont be a trade deal with the others as they negotiate us back into the EU.

The tyre you have kept will be no good if you buy a space saver.

Quite. Might be hard to get a full size alloy especially one that matches.

loads of used wheels/tyres on ebay
got a pic of what's fitted ?
710 used

Dijon 17 inch. Plenty in UK, not so many here. Cant look till after 2 nd Oct

I saw a good meme on facebook today which said that, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, India, China, South Africa and many others are interested in doing a trade deal with the UK, and in fact the only people who don't want to do a trade deal with the UK are the EU!  ::)

It's all probably moot anyway, as the cabinet minister Nicky Morgan has said today that if there is a second referendum she will vote remain. That's code for when there is a second referendum....  ::)

So much info/misinfo going round. I read that the EU offered T May a free trade deal and she turned it down.  It really is hard to sort the facts from fiction.

I was sort of pleased when our car had not got a spare wheel. We used the space to good effect on our UK trips.

However when we got the car, I changed the front tyres as they were a bit cracked and were getting on a bit. Then we had a puncture in one of the fronts. The hole was big enough to put a finger in it. No puncture glue and electric pump kit could fix that. No problem. All car insurance here includes compulsary recovery ( including from home).

So new tyre. So much for Industry 93000 miles between punctures.

Today tyre pressure loss flashed on screen . Used the electric pump to good effect to re inflate. Went to local garage and predictably couldn't be repaired. Strange damage. Something had entered he edge of the tyre on the curved bit at an angle but not right the way through. So non repairable.

New tyre needed so had to have two as they are hot on the MOT here on different makes on same axle. Saturday so couldn't get matching Pirelli P zero as closing at 1.00pm

The guy was a bit put out when I said “ Are I they good tyres”? His response “Michelin, they are the best”. So now have Pilot sports .Bit disappointed as I always have all four same make. Hey Ho!

Only good news is , I kept the good tyre. My plan is to find a scrap yard and get a jack, tool kit and a spare full size alloy OR possibly a spacesaver and kit.

Anyone have experience of spacesavers or what to look for when buying S/H ?. The spare wheel well is big enough for a full size spare. Car is Mk7 Golf.

Same in Spain. Barcelona is bad for violent crimes just to steal a smart phone.

I know someone who works in a village Co op in the UK. The staff are told not to tackle shoplifters.

Figures for Barcelona an average sized city is 13 deaths this year so far and 40 violent crimes reported per day..... Most are down to Romani gangs apparently.
