europarts 107721088 thats the order No. not long since did mine.
euro car parts
and those "107721088" won't fit 2.6 despite the website saying they will, or 3.2
they are for solid rear discs  ;)
2.6 and 3.2 are vented rear disc
   ecp 107721028 solid discs.
107721088 vented , to view these on the ecp site submit the number to see them or the site will only give the solid type

Ecp DID do the pins for vented kits, weather you get the correct ones is another matter, your best going to your local store order them, and collect in person.

General Discussion Area / tv shopping channels
« on: 18 June 2019, 19:10:28 »
i have never been tempted to buy anything from a tv shopping channel but i happened to see some car cleaning products on offer for 20 so i gave it a go. the stuff was meant to be with me between 5 - 10 working days. however they arrived within 48hrs. the aftermath though is i have been inundated with phone call , emails trying to sell me all sorts of rubbish.

Omega General Help / Re: Steering drop link

Even new genuine didn't last any think like as long as the factory ones.

Quit whining and fit what you can and treat the parts for what they are... Service items.

These, by definition, are parts that require periodic replacement. Keeping any Omega on the road isn't difficult, it just requires an admittance that the same jobs will need doing regularly in order to keep it going.

Either accept that, or move on to other cars...*

*Which will eventually require the same approach.
[/quote  out of the three omegas that i have owned i have only had to renew one steering idler . i ordered one for next day delivery & it never arrived . i called the supplier ,so they sent out another which arrived ok. then a week later the original one sent arrived. the firm wasn,t bothered & told me to keep it. i have had it in my shed for approx ten years now. never up to date needed it

my rear discs on a 2.2dti are vented hence the pins need to be longer & having just recently fitted some so know that ecp No is right

Think there's 2 you can see from the front and 3 at the back holding it in a bracket.  :y
i did have it loose but no room to take it out. tried for ages. may have to remove pulley.

today i started to remove the a/c pipes, got as far as ready to remove the compressor but was interrupted. are there just two mounting bolts holding the unit to the block. ??
in answer to my own query it seems there are two.  :y :y
was i wrong , managed to undo everything but could not pull it out . wont go up, down, backwards or forwards. so for my pain cut hands & all i ended up putting a couple of bolts back just to retain it in situ. and it started to pour down. :(

Anyone know if the springs and pins come with the brake pad kits? I've got a mechanic friend getting me rear discs and pads at discount out of local factor, I think it's Apec pads/discs. I already bought a delphi pack of springs and pins in anticipation of them not being in thhe brake pack, but they are for the solid disc by the look of it, pins too short and rattle springs too small.

Might just buy a set to be safe rather than sorry. Do these look correct ones?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-OE-Quality-Replacement-Apec-Braking-Accessory-Kit-for-Brake-Pads-APEKIT315/311324684531?fits=Car+Make%3AVauxhall%7CModel%3AOmega&epid=1946937398&hash=item487c65b0f3:g:Va8AAOSwNSxVEYCl

It says listed for a 2.6 up to 2003 but they delphi pack I bought listed them as for this model but they obviously weren't. What a pain in the tits these springs and pins are!
