Yes it seemed to be in very good nick still with a very small crack on the top centre of the front bumper[between top edge of number plate and lower bonnet edge] to spoil it.

General Car Chat / Re: Overfilling your tank?!
« on: 22 June 2019, 18:31:23 »
I don't even come close to filling any of mine.Got into the habit of not having more than half a tank at a time from the days when tanks were metal with a top half and a bottom half welded together with a seam round the middle where a lot of them used to rust through and leak.

Been out today to one of the above shows at Sandtoft aerodrome[near Doncaster]various "classic" police cars were on display-a couple of Crown Victorias a couple of Dodge Chargers and an Explorer type SUV In amongst these were a liveried Senator B[surely one of the last of the line?]reg M859 AWS and a black 3.2 Omega-which apparently had been on road wars and had some sort of tie in with the Grand Theft Auto computer game reg on that one was OV03 LJL.

A mate of mine once had a 1.7d[Isuzu engine I believe?] that was a scruffy old bus he tried allsorts of things to kill it but it absolutely refused to die.He finished up selling it on to a new owner who was still running about in it 3yrs later!

Ecp I use their click and collect service as one of their shops is less than a mile and a half away.E-bay I've never had any real delivery problems with[except when Hermes said they'd tried to deliver my parcel but I wasn't in,when the parcel was down for click and collect at my local Argos store]

General Car Chat / Re: Oil Cooler Crowsfoot....
« on: 19 June 2019, 21:02:40 »
When I needed one to do my oil cooler I bought a set of half a dozen[a range of sizes]off E-bay for just over 6 inc. posting. They just looked like the ends of spanners with a square hole for a ratchet/ratchet extension to fit into. For the price it wasn't worth messing about converting another tool to do the job.

Never used a TV shopping channel myself but Maureen used to buy quite a bit of stuff from QVC they never pestered for further custom or anything, she just bought what she wanted it was delivered and that was it job done.So I suppose it all depends on the individual shopping channel.

Get mine from Virgin but it's part of landline/TV/internet package, without looking up a bill I've no idea how much of overall cost is for internet access. No idea what speeds I get or what difference it would make if it was faster/slower,I turn laptop on check e-mails,do what I want as far as forums/e-bay etc. are concerned and turn laptop off job done I'm happy.

Holding my hands up here I have never re-checked the tightness of wheel nuts/bolts on any car I've ever owned. Not once have I had a wheel wobble or fall off :-X

They can ban curry as soon as they like,I'd have to be truly starving to death with no other alternative available before I'd eat that crap.Must admit Lizzie locust is one of the culinary delights that's so far passed me by.

General Discussion Area / Re: Oil Tankers Bombed - Iran vs USA
« on: 15 June 2019, 08:25:49 »
The confusion may have been caused by the Iranian statement that the tankers were carrying Japanese related cargo-as far as I know no-one claimed they were Japanese vessels. The Japanese despite the sanctions do export oil to Iran.
