Went out and bought some paint that's hopefully the same colour as the paint on the car to do some touch ups etc..

Well someone has bought it for 180. better than a kick in the face I suppose..

Hopefully someone should be coming for it on the weekend..

Would 200 be asking too much?

Hello all. Could I interest someone in my Persia red estate?. it does need welding on the front rails and a little in the nearside arch but is otherwise ok bodily. the engine and box work well but the ABS TC probably needs the ECU swapping out as it comes on and goes out when it feels like it. its had front wishbones and the entire exhaust complete with the lambda replaced last year so they should still be good for a while yet.  as for price im not sure what to ask but it needs to go sooner rather than later..

That reminds me of when I had my old G Reg senator. one day I was driving down a dual carriageway under the limit surprisingly and I thought lets go round the other dawdling grannies and when I glanced down at the speedo it said 107 mph. good job I looked when I did or I might well have got a ban..

I remember doing that with my 3.2 estate.. and was so happy not to find any rust behind the plastic cover that i failed to notice the dirty rust patch around the washer jet which to be fair was partly hidden by the spoiler...

I remember when the oil light came on in my first omega as it meant the engine had been nicely rebored despite my checking the level numerous times and I changed it twice...

I'd rather have sold it to someone who could either have fixed it or made use of the parts but he was the only one who turned up for it. and the 3.2 estate is still going in Bristol I think..

Six so far. the first was a 2.6CD saloon in silver in which the engine died, then there was a 2.5 elite saloon in silver which was written of by a Frenchman in a rented mokka, then a 2.2 GLS estate in nocturno blue which I sold to a banger racer, then a 3.2 elite estate in the same nocturno blue which had numerous bricks launched at it by drug addicts and then sold, then a 2.5 elite estate which I still have at the moment in Persia red ? and finally the current one is a 2.6 elite estate in gold...

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: dimmer for dash flickering
« on: 07 April 2018, 22:18:22 »
The dimmer didn't work in my other estate and the instrument lights were permanently bright which never bothered me as such. but one day whilst switching on the lights a load of smoke poured out of the switch with the result that the lights wouldn't work again as there is some short direct to earth somewhere behind the dash. but I'm none the wiser as to where it may be and I resorted to connecting the instrument lights to another circuit (bodge). but it was the quickest time ever for me when it came to disconnecting the battery  :o.

Hi James,  Would the keys be for a saloon?(stupid question maybe) but there's two of them and a house key on a Vauxhall key ring. and yes they were in the arm rest. let me know your address and i'll post them to you.
