Tor renting? Renting a hill? No idea what that means, sorry.  ???
Having looked it up, I didnít even understand the explanation! :-[
My OP was because a friend suggested that using a VPN made me less visible in the internet. From what Jaime says that is not true.

Got my last ones from here:
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/microswitches/2900463/

Thanks Figureman52 I appreciate the input,  but I did actually mean the whole assembly.

Anyone know where i can get the whole assembly from and the relevent manufacturer(s) / part numbers?

I've repaired a few in the past, it is fiddly, but very cheap! ::)

If something needs to be advertised on the telly box adinfinitum, then either you don't need it or it's shit.

Nord VPN, Over 50's whole life policies* and conservatory insulation being but three examples ;)

*Whole life is a really bad idea at the best of times :-X

Huh? I never watch adverts on TV or elswhere, as if I want to watch a commercial TV programme I record it to watch without the ads. I came across Nord as one of the highly recommended ones from tech sites..."But" I hear you say.."How reliable are the tech sites?"
Agreed, hence my OP on here hoping for unbiased advice.  :y

So it doesnít matter if my IP address can be seen, and poses no security risk?

Yes. But how high is that chance? My anti-virus programme, AVG free, keeps telling me that people can see my IP address. ???

Imo, how you vote depends on whether or not you live in a marginal seat. If I lived in one I would hold my nose and vote Tory.
I don't, so I have the luxury of having a protest vote.
It has to be any tactic which doesn't allow Corbyn into number 10, unless your a lunatic by the name of Michael Heseltine, who said on tv last night that he would rather that scenario than a Tory victory. His europhillia has literally driven him past the point of insanity.
Hesaltine - a local resident here - has a monk on because the government have approved and funded a new bypass around Farthinghoe. Its made him quite cross, which has cheered up the last few weeks ;D
Hopefully it goes throught his garden. ::)

I am just going on what I have been told, in that using a VPN stops your IP address being seen.  :-\

Thought my acc had been cancelled.  Struggling on my phone but got back on.

My IP was blocked and access is denied. Could admin please unblock my IP caddy please.

TIA  :y
If you are using a proxy to access, well, TBH, it'll always get blocked. That's the nature of them.

If you're not, PM me your (blocked) IP, and I will see if its in our block list and remove if required.

Does this mean I won't be able to access OOF via a VPN?

Due to my paranoia about privacy, I am planning to use one. Any recommendations? Nord perhaps?
