One question that puzzles me. Everyone knows the reputation of kwikfit so why use them?
Even if kwikfit offered tyres at £10 each i still wouldn’t use them
.
Spot on, I was told about them in the nineties ! God alone knows how they are still trading.
No, one of the motoring mysteries of life!
Way back in the days of owner driver Dave Farmer they built up a good reputation, but when he sold up it has never been the same, in fact steadily always getting worse, if that is possible.
But one reason for their continuing survival may be commercial contracts. A case in point is my daughters mobility car. When her previous one had it's MOT before being swapped over, the Renault garage told her to take it to Kwik Fittup for a new
nearside front tyre as they had an account with them. Needless to say the local Kwik Fittup guys did not disappoint, as I caught them trying to change the
rear nearside tyre instead after being told clearly what was required. THat was one of my last outbursts at them that I mentioned in my earlier post!
I think the advertising (as TB says, there is no such thing as bad advertising) and general ignorance of the public about what this company is capable of means they carry on. Their waiting rooms have usually customers standing around waiting, and they are rarely empty; well that is until someone like me shouts out about their shoddy practices!
