Think there all the same....

Buypartsby (sutton auto factors) do KYB ones at a good price although you might have to ring them.

Only take an hour tops to change.....dead easy job.

Really, thought they were different as most ads I've seen say not for self levelling.
Anyone with access to EPC care to look for the part no please?
(2000MY elite saloon facelift)

I can check it tomorrow for you with he old boy............

Are Omega pattern springs progressive rate like the originals. I ask cos SWMBO's Astra G had 2 broken rear springs last year. The originals were progressive rate but as Vauxhall wanted more than I was prepared to spend on 2 springs I bought a pair of pattern springs from a motor factor. They were some thing like £30 but were NOT progressive rate.

I think the design of the springs - the pigs tail/taper spring construction - gives the progressive rate.  Aftermarket ones should do the same....

Yes it does. The thin bits at the end bend esier than the fat bit in the middle. But as I say the pair I bought for her Astra were the same thickness through out. The distance she covers in a year, they are more than adequate, & will probably fair better on the speed ramps as she hits them.  :-?

The KYB ones appear to be to OEM spec (i.e. progressive rate), cant comment on the other pattern parts
