Water Ingress (update)
« on: 20 July 2012, 13:00:51 »

First of all "thank you to all who suggested what my problem may be".
I've solved the leak. It turned out to be the rubber down the inside of the door. Basically the water would run down the gutter, go behind the black trim at the side of the screen, run onto the rubber seal & then seep in over the top of the seal. Don't know how it got into the car after that. I've sealed the gap & all's good, even after the very heavy rain over the last few days.

A nice dry foot well, so now my carpet's, seats & trim all installed  :) :) :) :)

For now (until I source some Sika) I used clear silicon sealant. The Sika is polyurathane & is excellent for this kinda job :y

I used a watering can, I started at the bottom (scuttle) & worked my way up until it seaped through.
