While I am a firm advocate of overtaking on the outside as opposed to the lethal inside, he was not doing so very defensively nor was he taking much heed of the fact he was approching many of these vehicles from their blind spot.

But he was a lot calmer than I would have been......

"YOU oppsIN OMEGA DRIVING self-abuser!  WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO DRIVE?!?!?  What you got there anyway a 3.2?  All the toys? Nice!  Mines a shed in comparaison.  BUT YOU'RE STILL A W....

If we're expected to give cyclists a certain amount of breathing room when overtaking .. shouldn't cyclists be expected to do the same, rather than squeeze past in a blind spot and then be surprised when we don't see them coming?

It's not like you have an engine we can hear (although sometimes you can hear the asthmatic wheezing heart attack waiting to happen)..

Or maybe all cyclists should be forced to fit playing cards to the wheels or spokey dokeys ;D (remember those?)
