Hi All. This relates to my other post 3 MAF n counting. But thought I might get a wider response by starting a thread.
What is the white electrical item bolted to the body under the battery shelf please?
It burn the fingerprints of 4 fingers today!

No pic, but guess you mean the king great big resistor bolted to the inner wing :-\

Obviously working if it's getting hot, but have not the faintest idea of its purpose :'(

Circuit diagram in Haynes manual lists "R19 Cooling Fan Motor Resistor" but I cannot find it on the wiring diagrams. :(

My first thought was that it might be linked to the 3 radiator fans. There is also a mythical ECU cooling fan that reputedly lives in the passenger side wheel arch above the arch liner. I have never seen it myself but people who break Omegas say there is one in every Omega HTH ;)

Not mythical. Bolted to A pillar and cool air forced through ducting to ECU.

Erm under the battery shelf guy's. A white electrical item about 2/3 inches long.
Also, why would my 02's shut off and fuel trim go to 25% when I turn the steering wheel?

Found out it's got something to do with the air con, well thats what it connected to anyway. Dunno why its getting  so hot though.
Also doesn't explain why the car revs at 2k n stays then drops when I turn the steering wheel, turn air con and lights on but only with the MAF plugged in?
