Hi,

After much research and the usual positive/negative feedback about them i've decided to take the plunge and get one fabricated by a friend of mine, only downside was i had to get 2 made to make it worth his while!

Theres is a possibility that i can get further airboxes made but it would have to be 2 or more or produced in pairs because of the costs involved, manhours, laser cutting, materials etc...

So here's the photos of them being made...

Using these measurements of one of the actual Resonator boxes that was produced by Mantzel, only difference is that i had the side smaller pipe deleted as the FL Omega doesn't have this fitted

Mantzel's contribution to the improvement of the Omega B V6 engine. A very easy-to-slung component that a control valve replaces the original intake. Is achieved when the filter cash according to the guidelines is modified with a power increase of up to 14 hp and an increase in torque of 20 Nm. The engine is better on gas and is much more agile. At the 3.0-liter V6, it is necessary from the Model 98 to replace the air manifold and the throttle body against the model to 98th

The Powerresonator does not fit with the front-wheel drive V6 engines..

My finished boxes will both be finished in powder coat - Satin black and will come with the necessary silicone hose parts and jubilee clips.

£200 inc P&P to anywhere in the UK - I can post to the EU but will incur higher P&P costs.

Just bought one of these myself for 120. Seems to make a difference but not massive.

Some would say it makes no difference but then others - Like the original manufacturer, Mantzel would say otherwise! Or what's the point? Myself, not being one to follow conformity thought I'd give it a try.

I'm not expecting massive gains, obviously! But I'm sure it'll help in one way or another!

Didn't the original Mantzel ones work in conjunction with Widened Throttle Bodies?, that said Widened Throttle Bodies on there own would make a improved difference anyway.

I'm not sure to be honest with you Chris as you've been in this game a lot longer than I have you probably know better than I would!! 

I'd be interested in hearing more about these larger throttle bodies need to talk about....

Its a resonator so will create a power spike at some point in the rev range.

This may well increase the bhp at higher revs but, given its removed the mutiram setup its very likely to affect the low down torque.

Cant see a larger throttle body doing anything as its not where the restriction is in the engine setup.
