Parts for the omega and the previously generally accepted best value v quality parts from trade club seems to have been lost recently IMO.
The danger is that members are paying very similar prices in some cases, to trade club parts, but are getting unproven parts on longevity. The odds are these won't last as long or work as well.
Brake pads being a good example. There's some shocking rubbish out there.
Plus there's the danger of blatant copies. From China etc. non approved or tested.
As a forum/group/community its difficult to see the sense in recommending anything else.
Obviously there's exceptions like poly bushes and eternal exhausts where we're forced to look elsewhere. All German parts help with wishbones saves a fortune etc.
The only thing I use a factors for is coil pacs for genuine bosch.
The thread above needs to be a sticky rather than a guide, as it needs members to add to it as and when they search tc web site etc. plus nobody seems to bother reading the guide sections these days.
