GY Eagle F1 Assym 2
« on: 18 June 2014, 20:14:33 »

OK, there are spent.

Managed 14k from the fronts (which is an improvement on the 3k from the SC5s).

Impressions over life of tyre:
The good - stable, quiet, wet grip almost as good as dry, predictable
The indifferent - grip levels, esp in dry
The bad - nothing really

Recommended with you want a quiet tyre which seems resistant to tramline.
Not recommended if grip is the most important aspect.

I have them and I find them excellent. Far better than the Michelin tyres that were fitted as standard.
Shop around and you can find  235/45/17 for about £95 each. :y

Look at any independent customer reviews and the Eagle F1's always get good feedback from users.

Ignore tyre manufacturer blurb. It's not objective.

Try Wanli Ditchfinders at about £50 each, fitted. :y

Not as bad as their reputation suggests. :y

Got to say, still impressed with the GY F1's, despite various reincarnations over the years.

Still think the GSD3's are/were the pick of the bunch but the current one is fine for me.  Good wet and dry, predictable and sufficient life for what is a consumer/wear item.....   :y

It was  Mr Cem who led me in the direction of  Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres in the first place. :y :y

For Tyres or conspiracy theories, Cem's your man. :y ;)
