This one snuck up one me, bet there will be a few website issues to begin with.

At least don't have to find the paper part for holidays now!

They're probably insist that the Code is in a printed format with the DVLA heading on the top, so best to take your Lappy, Printer and some A4 paper as well.

Thats one of Rynairs new tricks, you cant print off your return Boarding Pass Ticket, because you cannot be allocated a seat more than 7 days before you travel back, you can of course book your return seat online for another £15 each way before you travel out though.  ::)

I doubt that many foreign countries and hire car companies even know about the paper counterpart.

hang on to your old one. Beauracracy rules. Any old paper will do!

Not got a clue what you lot on about mines the old green bit of paper from years ago...Do you lot have two then.. like paper and a plastic one

I always put mine in a safe place, which was often forgoten, in the end I put it is the same file as my car documents........... :y :y

I've always been asked for the counterpart when hiring cars in Spain, and I can't see the disinterested bloke sleeping in the caravan outside Alicante airport being equipped to look up some daft code from the DVLA. ::) Reckon I'll be keeping the counterpart bit just in case.
