Auto to Manual, using donor car
« on: 03 May 2015, 16:24:47 »

Just want a bit of advice and/or opinions... I've got an '02 2.6 cdx MANUAL and have seen a nice 3.2 MV6 AUTO of the same vintage. Would it be worth converting the 3.2 to Manual & the 2.6 to Auto (and then selling the CDX...)?

You must really want a manual a lot to contemplate two transmission changes, :D
financially I dont see the sense in it, easier to try and get hold of a special, ex plod with LSD,
Should buy the MV6 anyhow, as one omega is never enough  :y

Easiest option would be put a set of G-cams,and divider in the 2.6. Lot cheaper, and only be down about 12,donkeys :)

Well, thanks, I think... Suppose I should look into the cam change. I do like the ole CDX, just need to revive the suspension a bit. Unfortunately I can't justify having both of them. Thing is, the MV6 on Autotrader is a low-miler...
