I'm sure it'd be horrible to drive, but I could sit and look at one of those all day.

Saw an absolutely mint SM in Bridport a couple of months ago. :-*

Or this one, quad cam maserati v6 under the bonnet  :y

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Citroen-SM-for-restoration-Maserati-engine-Runs-moves-suspension-works/282520205685?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D43781%26meid%3D8824d0bad3774e019ad3a60ed9c6f6d3%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D263025715609

Now that is superb!

I'm not really into the prosthetic limb beige paintwork, or the baby vomit interior. But everything else, fricking excellent! I can imagine its a "challenging" ownership proposition from a reliability perspective!

The SM was seriously ahead of its' time. 0-60 in 8.5 and 140+ MPH. Not far off a 3.2 Omega. Speed sensitive PAS, disk brakes all round, rain sensitive wipers, steering headlamp beams... Getting one repaired in the 1970's when the average mechanic probably struggled with twin carbs must have been a nightmare!

Fancy a twin turbo model that cracked 200 MPH at Bonneville. http://www.lefigaro.fr/automobile/2007/12/28/03001-20071228ARTFIG00408-des-californiens-fanatiques-du-chevron.php

.. and speaking of sub-zero cool French cars, I saw a beautifully restored example of one of these a couple of weeks back:

Owner had spent a decade restoring it, and "went to town" on the V8, now sporting 400 BHP. 8)

Back to omegas, but I don't think this has been posted on the forum elsewhwere as yet (could be wrong). Low mileage, not expensive, 3.0 MV6 but looks in need of some tlc
