And the one thing that catches all posh weekend pikeys out is have you got the correct license class to drive it.espically if your going to put a trailer or car behind it.
.  No problems licence wise.😎 Wifey has already said she wants a new Aygo to tow behind it so no problems with getting about.


I would check 1st, and also check the weights, when towing. You might be able to drive 7.5t but have you got trailer entitlement for over 750kgs...
Also if you get a proper motor home and not one of those inflatable Boxers, you'll be needing a C license and the +E for the trailer... So budget another 4k for both of you to do those :y



Both licences completely A Okay . Both passed our tests in 1971 things were sensible back then and the powers that be weren't such moneygrabbing bastards.

Wouldn't C1E cover it?
Only to 7.5t plus a max 750kgs trailer. A Smart car on an A frame is near enough 1,300kgs.

Only to 7.5t plus a max 750kgs trailer. A Smart car on an A frame is near enough 1,300kgs.

 I think that's how they get around the trailer regulations,  its classed as a car being towed, not a trailer, very grey area,. 
Best place to ask is dvsa, and lppk on posh pikey forums.

Yes that's included in C1E , the only stipulation for me is a certificate from my GP when I reach 70 years of age, if not obtained I lose C1E.

No. Trailer over 750kgs in weight, not exceeding 12 tonne maximum weight.

I believe what DG was saying is that a car on an A frame, behind a motor home, counts as on a trainer for the purposes of the law - whether it's on an A frame or a trailer.

And damn you all.. you made me wonder what categories I have on my license so I went to check, and now I realise my license isn't in my wallet... I hope it's still at home somewhere and not lost (I'm in a hotel for work) :-X :-X :-[
