Track Day?
« on: 06 July 2007, 17:23:16 »

Would anyone be interested in a track day in there near future?
This would be a case of using your own cars. Omega's I mean. 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0ltr's

1. Castle Coombe  Price from - £165.00

2. Thruxton         1 hours track time  £150 inc vat

3. Silverstone       For further information on how the tracks operate and the opportunities available to you, please contact Sara Lambden on 08704 588 255.
THIS WOULD BE FOR HIREING THE TRACK FOR THE DAY WHICH WE WOULD ALL NEED TO CONTRABUTE TOWARDS, DON'T KNOW THE PRICE WOULD NEED TO MAKE A PHONE CALL BUT WILL ONLY DO THIS IF THE VOTING DECIDE'S.

Let me know and I will see what I can do.

Might be interested if it's Silverstone...
I don't think tomorrow would be a good choice though...   8-)

Now I have been told that it would cost about £100 per hour so if we can get as many people who would like to take part the cheaper per person it will be. So come on lets have some fun for all the family and allday.

Not for me, most of us need our cars too much to risk writing em off in an uninsured way, as fun as it may be,

Plus, youve ruled out the 2.2, 2.6 and 3.2 in your original post ;)

You have to be a pretty big numpty to wreck your car at a trackday event, unless you are taking the extra risk on purpose.  Of course I almost took out a numpty in a C2 Cab once  ::)

As for me, my helmet is in the states and the first place on my list is the 'ring.  Ridden round it but never driven, miggy is going within the next 12 months.  Even SWMBO wants to go :y

Ah yes but you can purchase insurance for the day at the event anyway. Ok not to worry Just an idea and that would be open to all engine sized Omega's  anyway. Thnx for the replies guy's.
