Hi,anybody know where the interior heater blend valve is on my omega c,been told its on the drivers side,thanks.

I think omega 'c's do exist now that so many people refer to them as such. Its the same thing that happened with Mk 5 Cortinas or MK 1 and a half Capris

Never will understand why, a new letter is only assigned to a totally new chassis, Vectra B / Vectra C.

Facelift Omega is still based on the 1994 chassis B

The Omega mixes hot and cold air to give the required temperature in the cabin, I suppose that could be the 'heater blend valve'. The mixing box is split left & right to allow different conditions for the passenger and driver.

Behind the engine (on the drivers side) there is the HBV (heater bypass valve) the climate control applies vacuum to this valve to shut off the flow of hot coolant when it isn't required. It isn't a blending valve though, it switches from full flow to full bypass when the vacuum is applied.

Blend valve actuator arm on the drivers side has popped off, see the maintenance guide section for how to fix

Reading through the guide....

5) Push your finger down behind the back of the motor and you'll find/see the plastic arm travelling down behind it from way above - check to see if you can move it around freely - if so it's probably come off the motor.

Thought that was the same arm, DTM mentioned a guide its the closest i found  :-/

OK wasn't trying to be funny but the OP question left me wondering whether they knew that the Omega uses 'air side control' not 'water side'.

Not sure of my facts here but.. I think there are two 'blending valves' and you get to the drivers side through the drivers footwell and the passenger side by taking the glovebox out on the passenger side.

What are the symptoms?

If both sides are cold then you probably need to be looking at a problem with the HBV or the heater matrix needs flushing through.

If one side is hot and the other cold then you need to be looking at the blending valves.

Hi,Andy,so there is a separate valve to operate either side,so are they attatched to the air box on motors with arms on or are we talking the vac units,ive seen one behind the glove box in the top left corner,take it there is one in a similar position on the drivers side as i get hot air on passenger side and cold on drivers,have also seen two long vac pipes running down the drivers side to where the heater matrix pipes are.

I have had a look for a maintenance guide but I think Mark must have been thinking of an informative thread that covered the subject but didn't get saved as a guide

Hi,all,sorted the problem today and everybodies help was spot on,there are two blend valves one on either side of the air box quite low down and the plastic arm had come off the drivers side,took me 30 minutes to fix.Thanks Forum.
