Yup, I had this. It was driving me bonkers for whole day!

RobG was the man, he pointed me to heated seat wiring.

What was odd was I found when i was sat on the edge of the drivers seat it would cut out, usually when I went to close the door. For a while I thought it was related to the door!

My little test, engine running, door open, stand on the outer edge of the seat and walk along it, it would cut out when stood in the middle!

Could never trace the exposed wire which was causing it, so just cut the feed wire & sealed. Solved the problem.

Don't need heated seats with cloth anyway!

Mine was the heated seat wiring as it goes above one of the seat motors, not very easy to see (seat has to come out)  it was chafed by the seat frame, there was a plastic rubbing strip stuck on the seat frame but it was stuck on the wrong side..

You can disconnect the seat heating from the loom down by the seat adjustment switches as a temporary measure.. As part of the fault finding I installed separate fuses in that area for the seat heating feed..
