parking sensors

hi all

hope i have posted in the right section  :-\

i hit a bird (feathered type) and it has pushed my offside parking sensor into the bumper (this is on the vec-c ) does anyone know how they are fixed into the bumper ??? is it a clip behind or something and i assume its a bumper off to do a repair ??

But thats the wrong section, as its not an Omega related question  ;)

With the Vec I assume its front bumper? If its anything like park pilots on back of Omegas they just clip in....

Mine just push in, but they are aftermarket. The year 2000 Elites do not have park pilot. Had to fit my own. . .  :o

They are a push fit with a daft plaggy clip on the barrel which goes into the bumper. Only way, and the best, to get them out is to remove the bumper or have very very skinny arms and hands.
If its broken you might be able to carefully grip it with pliers and gently pull and twist the old one out but you might them find that they are all linked and not seperate units. The dealeship will tell you. If it were me I would be taking the bumper off though.
