well its christmas time so its time for a six month service on the mrs corsa
i wasnt going to change the plugs but ive been offered some bosch 4 electrode ones at only 10 pounds for four as the wrapping is damaged.these should sell for about 23 pounds so a bit of a bargin as standard ones are about a tenner.
now i dont expect another 20 bhp buy useing them but are there any advantages with this sort of plug on a normal 1.2 engine
any thoughts?

In theory, longer time between service intervals

In reality, the opinions are that they will work loose anyway, so no huge benefit!

My advice - for a tenner - go for it

They wont make any difference to performance......but they should last twice as long as the twin ones

Make absolutely sod all difference to performance - if anything actually reduces it, but not noticible.  If you notice better performance, thats a sign of how bad your old ones were

For some reason, the GM quads do seem to have a quite high wear rate compared to twins, and are generally shot at 50-60k (and loose anyway at 50k).  I personally only use GM twins, and change them around 30k.

But at a tenner, if they are the right thread, temp, depth for your car, can't argue with that
