Lost dash lights!
« on: 24 June 2007, 19:12:25 »

Hi, I have just had to remove and re-install the radio, after re-fitting I find that the dash lights and the switch illumination no longer work, the illumination for the gear selector is out as well. Has anyone any idea what is causing this, does the wiring for these run behind the radio?

There is an illumination feed to the radio, its possible this has been damaged during the recent work in this area.

Check the fuse to, from memory its F12.

Checked fuses and they all seem to be o.k. What I have discovered is that if I switch on the headlights the LED that shows which position the gear lever is in goes out, but comes back again as soon as I switch off the headlights. Anyone any ideas, thanks.

It might be related to your problem but I had a position display that did the same thing, the one fitted now just does as it chooses - sometimes it displays, sometimes it doesn't! :(  ;D  ;D

Hi Andy, unfortunately with mine it is also all the swiches illumination, and the instrument cluster lights that are out.  :'(
