Thanks for your interest everyone. The hose as you look into the engine bay is on the right hand side it rises vertically as it leaves the block, this is the section I cut and fitted an intermediate thermostat into, it then comes forward and joins the rad on the top right hand side.. the engine is a 2.6 V6 (53).

Thanks

Morning, sorry about posting in the wrong section, I'm still not allowed to post in Trading
I need a top hose for my car it's a 53 plate  2.6 elite estate. The part no. is 9240144, my local Vauxhall garage gave the no. But apparently it's no longer a stock item. I can't seem to find any in the usual places.

Thanks

Omega General Help / Air con not working
« on: 07 August 2017, 18:13:24 »
Hello any ideas. I had my air con recharged, but no cooling. The compressor doesn't seem to be  kicking in . The guy said the pressure was fine. it didn't cost me as it was the dreaded Halfords, and he clearly knew nothing beyond "putting the gas in"

Omega General Help / Tyre load rating
« on: 20 June 2017, 16:44:59 »
I've got a 2.6 elite Estate one of the rear tyres needs replacing. Whilst thank goodness the tyre sizes are the same the load ratings are different. One being 97W Extra Load the other 94y. Does anyone know what the correct loads rating should. Personally I don't think I need an Extra Load. rating as I'm not an antiques dealer. Thanks martinH

Omega General Help / 2.6 radiator removal
« on: 17 April 2017, 18:29:46 »
Im going to be changing this (rad) as its leaking badly, and additionally against my instinct was convinced a rad sealer was all I needed, and yes you've guessed it now overheats as well.
Anyway I have been unable to find a how to I"m sure one exists because I remember reading it??  what I can't remember is whether the the electric fan needs to be separated from the rad as there doesn't seem to be much wiggle room.

Thanks

Omega General Help / New Radiator how much!!!
« on: 09 May 2016, 22:13:50 »
Just had a big surprise at a Vauxhall dealer, over £600 to supply a fit a rad on my 2.6 auto Elite Thats £300 just for the rad. I seem to remember  a how to for this job but I can't  find it now, but I'm sure it didn't mention interfering with the air con? Advanced Radiator have replacement at around £70  but despite giving the original part no to them they're a bit evasive about what fits. Any advice or help welcomed  Thanks  martinH

It was. So far so good. But I am on the lookout for a replacement radiator. I think it has upset the thermostat which has always run cold, but now  runs hotter  I can't swallow the the terrible cost of a Vauxhall garage Changing it. Hey ho
