just a quick question...when you replace discs and pads do you have to replace a sensor/cable at the same time.i was told by the motor factors that if the warning comes up on the computer you need to replace it??help. :-X :-X

If you have a low pad warning you will need a least one new sensor .. perhaps 2 .. the warning is "made" by the sensor wearing through so is not repairable.

Some cars have sensors on BOTH front wheels, some only on one. Even if the sensor is not worn through they do have a remarkable tendency to break as you try and remove them.

Yes. There's a wear sensor on each of the front pads (just one on the very last cars) that'll most likely break when you try to remove it from the pads. As the pads wear down, this sensor wears through, makes circuit for the sensors open circuit, and puts the message up on the display.

what Entwood says! ;) and .....
