Breather Problems
« on: 09 December 2007, 18:18:29 »

Decided to do the breathers on my 2.5 V6 today. It doesnt look like these have ever been done. Breather hoses are totally blocked to the point that I may just replace them rather than try to unblock them but the main problem was this....

I guess my spark plugs are in there somewhere!!!

I'll be off to the stealers to get some new gaskets and spark plugs tomorrow! Anybody know how to get the oil out of there before I replace the plugs?

Plenty of crud in the plenum too!

By the way.. this car was running sweet as a nut! I had no idea it was in this mess. I'm surprised it was running at all!

mine were the same just used a roll of kitchen roll for mine.

a mate just suggested remove the spark plug let the oil drop into the cylinder and crank it over and watch the oil f**k off out off the spark plug hole.
(he is a south african yeeehaaa. Said it worked on relasing a coolant hydralic locked engine on a piece plant on the mine he used to work on)

On the plus side....the internals look nice and clean and there is no sign of any additives ever being added.
