Hi to all on OOF. I am a "bahnstormers member and have been for 11 years now. I have tried to register on here before but with no success. The site looks a lot differant to how I remember it, looks good. i will be at Billing this year on the ABS stand. I have a 2000 2.5 diesel elite estate on an Opel badge, had it 4 1/2 years now and still love it but do miss the fun of the GSI carlton I had before it :y

The grille does look very series 3 senator. Would it look even better with an Elite boot spoiler on it?

Ultimatly, I would like a white VXR 8.but a yellow or red Monaro 5.7 would do fine although the partner is not to keen on the yellow!

It does depend if you use the right polish, but it has bought up all cars I have done with it nicely, just needed to finish off by hand with a good quality wax. I used rubbing compound with water then the farecla G10 after before washing off and waxing or resin polishing. Do test areas first so you get used to it as it can be easy to go through on an edge

I bought one from Toolstation. it looks similar to a 9" angle grinder but they only spin at about 3000 revs so they dont burn the paint off. Machine mart may do some thing similar

How strict are the police in your area? I scraped a senny and on the weigh bridge, went in at 3925 kilo, 2800 when it was taken off the trailer. The police around here seem to pull you if it looks dangerous or being driven in a bad way

You dont seem to get much for scrap up your way then. We have one yard guarenteeing £200 per car while another says in the newspaper ads that it would be £170 plus, depending on weight, and that is for it to go straight in the crusher, nothing taken off exept battery, wheels and fuel tank

I am still battling with an insurance company over a liability claim, Some painters came in to where I was working to re-paint some out buildings. It was very windy and they were on price work. No vehicles were covered up or asked for to be moved at any time. It took 15 months before I had them in a position that there was no way but to admit liability. The insurance company wanted witness statments, I got them, then they wanted a valuation based on available magazines from the high street, i gave them that, then they wanted a like for like or similar valuation I gave them that. They ignored every one saying it wasnt to there guide lines, the ones I had followed. Now they want me to pay out of my own pocket to have an independant valuation done by there appointed engineer. This has been going on since April 2008, so I am seriously brassed off now. Redefining the standards?  I think not!!!!

I was with e-sure a few years ago, paid £460 full comp, 20 years proof e.t.c the next year they wanted £595. when asked why, they said all policies had risen that year, but not by 25%+ I said. I finally used my advanced driving test pass and got better cover with only £100 excess for £305 with breakdown included.

they are all over payed prima donnas in my opinion. How can a ref keep control with all of them earning more in a week than he does in a couple of years?
