General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?
« on: 11 January 2018, 22:05:11 »
CBA quickly sets in ;D
Which results in lunchtime pub trip, and even a curry evening...

...rarely productive, but hugely enjoyable ;D

Speaking of which..... ::)

Hmm... Monday 22nd? With a bed thrown in?  ::) ::) ??? ??? :D :D

Use it neat ;)

Suspect it belongs to a member (or former member) here ;)

Quite a sizeable ironing board on the back though ;D

After what he,s posted about your manor I'm surprised your inviting him anywhere, other then to jump off the Orwell bridge.  :D

That would just encourage him... Besides, do you know how much of an inconvenience it is when someone jumps off the bridge? ::) :D

Mind you, I'm in the back end of nowhere this week, a couple of miles north of Woodbridge, with nothing walkable around.  I suppose that's how the skin starts growing between the fingers and toes, and you start eyeing up mummy sister.

Staying? Curry? Would have to be Tuesday really

General Car Chat / Re: LPG and Omega
« on: 31 December 2017, 13:01:08 »
Just put LPG on mine and got the full kit from lpg shop seems to be running great at the moment, 70lt tank in the spare wheel well need to raise the floor a little but from full to empty i have done 300 miles, going to fill up today and see if i get the same or similar to another full tank. best thing i have done to the mig this year :y

Unless that was a long run I would be checking that’s not running lean... I never managed more than 250 around town, normally closer to 230.

Of course, if you drive everywhere like Miss Daisy then that may explain it :-X

Wtf have you been smoking?  :o

Whatever prompted Robert to press the button, there was absolutely no malice in that thread.

Of course, it must be my fault by virtue of having posted anything. Ever.  >:(

I agree with this, I missed the departure but reading back through the thread I can`t see anything that would provoke someone in to leaving.

No matter what some will say in their defence in that they only said this or pointed out that, the evidence speaks for itself.

The forum does not have the number of members it once had, the fact is if big griffin and the Doctor continue with their attitude and approach, more members will leave. Sadly this is just one of many cases  :'(

Well said Tunnie. You have highlighted the sad fact that regular OOF membership has been severely depleted[highlight/], and you have said why.

More than likely to be less Omegas around than there used to be, as pointed out by JamesV6CDX below your post, as not everyone hangs around after their Omega ownership has ceased, I would gamble that there are less Omega owners on here than owners of other marques.

Yes, I can understand that point of view, but the fact is that the Forum is still attracting a big readership in "Guests".  Last night there were 110 of them at one point, compared to 9 members on line. Why don't more of the 110 Guests join and contribute to the Forum?

Because they are search engines indexing the site, not real people, at a guess

This... It will mostly be “bots” crawling the site for indexing and (potentially) lifting information

Actually, I think you should read some of your posts too (along with my own I might add) :-X

It’s a sad fact that we all post short, grumpy or downright rude posts sometimes that wouldn’t be interpreted that way face to face.

As for this instance, certainly doesn’t seem to be any real reason to leave there so must be something else underlying

I don't think POOF would be a good name - unless you are friends of Dorothy!

Ron.
I only found out 2 weeks ago, there is an area of Central Birmingham called Gay Village.  You can guess what hotel was booked for me for that night.

Somebody had tipped them off in order to make you feel at home perhaps? ::) :y

No, just what happens when you let the webbed feet brigade (from Lazydocker country) book things West of the Orwell.
Explains why you had such a good time though ;) ;D

BTW, how’s the gay foot? ???

Omega General Help / Re: Are sprung hose clips GM patented?

If you must use a screw type clip on a hose get one that applies even pressure all around or it could let you down.

General Car Chat / Re: XC 60 - oil change question

The servicing to keep up warranty must be carried out by a VAT registered garage using OE equivalent parts.  ;)

Think I’d be looking at no more than 6k  :-\ Although whilst under warranty you need to be careful about doing anything other than manufacturers spec ::)
