Profile says Damascus ;)

i saw that but not sure whats legal or not over there .we certainly cant fit leds to non led lights here .

Why not?

Why not?
Ron.
Because the way the light unit functions varies from bulb (light source) type to type.
What's good for an open 55w halogen bulb is unlikely to work with an led bulb.
Dipped beam on a facelift Omega may technically work, as the design incorporates a focal lens rather than a reflector... but don't expect road legal/mot results.
Also large led bulbs generate a lot of heat, so the bulb may not actually fit within the housing.

Thanks DG for a comprehensive and clear answer - I knew you would know. :y

Thanks all... Any headlight is legal here as long as its giving light.
Back to my original problem .. omegas xenon headlight seems to be very poor... I searched google and found some used bixenon which seem very complex work to fit , and i am not very sure about the results. any suggestion would be appreciated.

Are you 100% certain that your car has xenons?
Visually, the facelift lights look the same regardless of bulbs fitted.
On the top of the light unit is a white label which lists all the bulbs in that unit.
If you see D2S then they will be xenon, but don't be surprised if you see H7.
Have a look and report back :y

Yes I am sure it's xenon. I found on YouTube some videos for bixenon swap,it seems a lot of work , and i am not sure about the results. Any plug and play swap do you guys think of.

New bulbs should sort it. Wouldn't bother messing around trying to retrofit summat which won't fit/work...
-
The D2S HID lamps do lose output as they age. Fitting new ones may help (if they are good ones)(not Chinese fakes).
The plastic lenses go yellow in the sun. You can polish the lenses to remove the yellow surface layer..
The Omega only has HID dip beam. High beam is halogen. I found that it helped when I fitted 'bright white' halogen lamps to high beam to get a closer match to the colour of the dip beam.

Ignoring all legalities which may or may not apply in certain areas...
An aftermarket LED bulb will not fit a D2S light fitting. They will fit a halogen unit, but you may have to leave the read cover off (bad move), due to the size of the bulb drivers. Most current generation LEDs don't have active fans, but all previous generation do. All benefit from airflow, which is why as an aftermarket fitment, they aren't ideal.
Ignoring the marketing BS, its been tested time and time again that at about 25m, quality HIDs have the highest light output compared to (aftermarket) LED and halogen, but beaten by laser as fitted to the latest high end cars (and not to be confused with Osrams "laser" range which is their marketing for their brighter HIDs).
The Omega HIDs are not too bad TBH, but need clean lenses, clean projector unit (which gets dusty if driven without the rubber cover on the back), and newish, quality bulbs, such as Osram and a temp of about 4.2-4.5k. Halogen bulbs also degrade, so if the main beam is poor, put in new, quality halogen bulbs.
Obviously, show lights, like the whiter halogens, or the 6k and higher HIDs actually reduce illumination, so if you are after a certain look, there will always be a compromise between looks and function.
A bi-xenon conversion for an Omega would be a good compromise, but would be a tricky job.

The reason LED retrofitting doesn't work is plain geometry.
The reflector and shield in low beam has its geometry set up for a normal bulb where the source of light comes from the center. With LED's the source of light is off center and the reflector isn't constructed for that and you get a light beam that goes all over the place.
I have run with Low beam LED's on my Omega and it get a bright white light. In this case this car has H7/H1 bulbs, no XENON, so it was an easy fit. For High beam I also have LED's and they give a very good bright light and reaches far longer than the standard Halogen bulbs.
I have high quality LED's that cost around €100 for a pair and they have built in fans.
New cars with LED's have a proper reflector made for LED's

I am interested in this subject. I love xenon. It is forbidden for old cars here, but many use it, because there are still roads, streets and avenues with bad pavement. I use Philips Diamond Vision lamps in low, high and fog lights. The possible option to legalize until 2021 are leds. Is it true that there are leds for headlights without a projector?

There is no end of junk available from China that will fit anything. I bought some H7 late last year for 5GBP a pair (not to use in a car - long story) that would work well without projectors (though being Chinese, no idea how long they would work, or how good they actually are in cars).
Obviously, you may have local legalities that may or may not be enforceable in your country.

I ran H7 bi zennon HIDs in my carlton (omega A ) low beams ok
full beam went everywhere
but you don't use full beam driving at other cars ,well i didn't ;D
good down the twisty country lanes ,
i had 100w lamps in the pencil beams too

I haven't seen the result of an adaptation of leds in the headlights of an Omega A yet. Perhaps at the next meeting of the Clube do Omega MG, March 29, I will see. I intend to use Philips, Osram or K2on leds and legalize them before 2021, when changes in lighting will be prohibited here.

I never used xenon in the headlights. Only in fog lights, 4300 or 3000K and illuminated the imperfections of the pavement very well. It is a constant concern when you use rim wheels 20 and profile tires 35. ;D ;D ;D

Take a look here, they have good stuff and now offer LED's for Low Beam with Projector lenses.
I have bought my LED's from this place.
You have to pay for good stuff. £85 is about SEK1000

The OP has Omega A
glass lenses with nobbly diffuser ,different to Omega B clear plastic lense

An electrician friend, who does all the maintenance on the electrical part of my cars, told me it will be fine. However, I have already read that it will not work due to the slots in the glass lenses and I will blind other drivers.

I contacted a friend, who works at the Traffic Department in our city, to include the turbo and ethanol in my car document. He informed me that the LEDs can no longer be legalized in the main headlights around here. As the country is a Federation, there are States that allow it and others that no longer allow it. It was great to have connected, before buying the 6 LEDs! I saved a considerable amount of money.
;D ;D ;D
